I visited this venue as a hired venue stylist by the bride directly to set up a backdrop.
From the moment I walked in the staff were so friendly and helpful (not something wedding vendors get often). Even on collection the staff still couldn't do enough for us, never mind all the guests they had seen to and the fact they were all working at least 12 hours shifts. The venue is stunning, clean and welcoming but the staff really do make this venue special and anyone contemplating having a special event here should definitely book.
I really do hope to work with this venue in the future if not I might have to be a guest myself.

Sadly this wasn?t a very good experience. We were there for a lovely meal for two to celebrate a special occasion. Unfortunately we had to share the restaurant with a very large table (18-20 people perhaps). With no soft furnishings it was so noisy we just couldn?t hear each other across our table. There was nowhere else that we could be seated away from the noise so our evening was spoiled.
What made matters worse was when I brought this up with the restaurant manager his response was ?well it?s a busy restaurant what do you expect, should I have turned the table away?? A good question, but should we have had our evening spoiled for the profits of the restaurant or should we have been informed so that we could have changed our booking?

We had an amazing meal here a few weeks ago while staying in Tideswell.
Others in our party had the Roast Beef, advising best roast beef ever tasted.
Lovely vibe in here - beautiful experience start to finish.

I popped in here for drinks most nights I was in Tideswell with my best friend who visits regularly. We also ate one night, we took advantage of the great pizza deal. The food was delicious, nice Thornbridge beers and delicious Bakewell Heart cocktail

Stayed for a couple of nights, with dinner on the Saturday night. Delicious tasting menu, great wine list, beautiful spacious rooms, and free EV charging for the car overnight. Big breakfast, friendly staff - strongly recommended.

Our first visit to the restaurant for Sunday Lunch wow really nice tastey food, amazing well proportioned desert. Attentive staff, comfortable seating.

We stopped in for a Sunday roast and are so glad we did. The welcome we received was professional, yet relaxed and friendly. The atmosphere is spot on, and the food was something else. We all opted for the roasted beef, and it did not disappoint. We will definitely be back, that's for sure. If I were to suggest anything to the venue, it would be to provide steak knives with the beef, just to make cutting the medium-rare meat that much easier. But we still loved everything and can't wait to go back.

My boyfriend and I stayed here on NYE to get away from the city. It went above and beyond our expectations. There was a huge amount of attention to detail from little treats left in the room to complimentary drinks for NYE to a parking plaque with my name on.
The room itself was modern, luxurious, the beds and pillows so comfy and the bath/bathroom was perfect. We had breakfast included which was also lovely. The surrounding area was gorgeous for hikes and getting away from the hustle and bustle.
All the staff were absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful. It was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in in the UK. Thanks so much - we will be back :).
