Fantastic cafe, with a variety of delicious homemade cakes and bakes at reasonable prices. My personal favourite was the scones with jam and clotted cream
Warm and friendly staff - well worth a visit, you wont be disappointed!

The Best Cornflake Tart with Custard !!!!
Superb service. Service with a smile. If you haven't been here, you are missing out.

is a charming gem that delivers on both atmosphere and quality.
I stopped by recently and was blown away by their cornflake tart?hands down the best I?ve ever had! The crust was perfectly buttery, with a golden, crispy cornflake topping that had just the right amount of sweetness.
Paired with their amazing coffee, which was rich, smooth, and served piping hot, it was a match made in heaven. The barista-style coffee, likely sourced from local roasters, had a depth of flavor that made every sip a delight.

Ah what can I say. We love this little place!
We often just drive to Matlock just to come here for a cream tea.
Dog friendly, you can sit inside or out, and the customers that go are all lovely.

Great place to grab something to eat & drink at the weekend. Wide selection of sandwiches/toasties/English breakfast items to pick from and very reasonable prices! Delicious cakes for dessert too!

Fabulous, their cheese cake is to die for
Visited again today and their cheesecake is still the best! I've bought some toffee apple curd, should be good on a cheese cake, they recommend it for pancakes and waffles ?

Visited today on our way out of Matlock, had filter coffee which was delicious! A fish finger sandwich which was distinctly average for the price (breaded fish fingers, we were told it would come with crisps but it didn?t) Oatcakes?s with cheese, mushrooms & beans which was tasty but rather small. Don?t mind a quaint place but it all seemed a bit higgledy piggledy, with cakes/traybakes on a table in the middle of the tea room and not covered up, a ?help yourself? trolley with a sugar bowl, cutlery, sauces but no napkins.

We turned up just as the cafe was closing and it was still not to much trouble to get us 2 teas and 2 slices of delicious homemade cake , we sat outside with our 2 little dogs and the owner kindly bought out 2 complimentary chews , this cafe really is a little gem of Derbyshire

Looks lovely and wanted to get lunch here but closes at 1300 today. No bin for dog poo waste which my partner had just picked up in the car park so she went to put in bin marked general waste. Very abrupt and unfriendly man who works there in flurescent jacket just made my partner throw it on the railway track. Shocked.

Eat here quite frequently, always good food, & friendly staff. Rustic with a nostalgic feel. A hidden gem ?.
