Lovely friendly cafe very welcoming coffee needs 2 shots though! Cakes were delicious ?Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating for kids cakes are huge so they give you a take out box if you ask so they can finish the rest at home ?

Right in the centre of Swadlincote's main shopping street and at the bottom of the access stairs to Morrisons is Cafe Espresso, a small cafe popular with locals. Not a large place, but it has a modern feel and is full of light having two sides of the building predominantly glass. It has a good range of tables, and a few comfortable sofa type chairs. As you enter there are cakes and chocolate on show to tempt you. They also have a good range of both hot and cold deli items, perfect for a lunch break or an early breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the whole place was impeccably clean. We had a cup of tea and coffee, with a bar chocolate for less than three pounds, remarkable value! In most cafes, one cup of coffee would be that alone!
