Popped in and ate inside. Ordered food and sat at table. Waited ages. When food came, fries were so salty couldn't eat them all. Big mac was flat full of lettice and very disappointing. Coffee was OK.

It's McDonald's so the food is as you'd expect. Service is usually quick, or at least as quick as it can be at this time (During the SARS-COV-2 Pandemic). Have seemingly always handled traffic really well during the pandemic and of course, the food always seems to come out nice and hot.
If the McDonald's locations in Sutton and Mansfield are roughly the same sort of distance as this one, I'd thoroughly recommend this one over the other two, though do be aware that prices are slightly higher at this location, hence the 4 star review. If it weren't for the higher prices, this would be an easy 5* location.
However, this location seems to consistently deliver food that is hot enough to arrive home still hot, definitely more consistent than other nearby locations.
2024 Edit:
Service has gone downhill. You'll likely struggle to park as most drive thru orders will be told to park up. You're often left waiting 10-15 minutes for food after being told to park up. Staff are friendly enough about it, but otherwise, service is pretty slow.
Despite this wait, food often comes out only warm. Definitely not hot enough to make it home with some temperature still left in it as used to be the case. I'd suggest visiting other fast food options, including other McDonald's in the area.

Service improved shortly after the last edit. However, it has dropped once again.
Drive thru orders being told to park up seems to have improved significantly as it appears most drivers are now being served at the drive thru, as it should be.
Service times have improved at the expense of quality of work. Virtually every time I have ordered a soft drink, I've been given a cup that was either overfilled or the lid and/or cup were covered in said soft drink.
This has resulted in numerous spills, albeit minor spills, as the drink pours off the lid and various splatterings of soft drink which have come off the exterior of the cup.
It's so much of an issue that I'd almost consider billing them for product cost and labour for having to clean up the mess they cause to the interior and exterior of my vehicle. And if the repeated spillage of highly acidic drinks starts to eat away at the paintwork of my vehicle, I will absolutely be chasing them for costs.
Temperature is the same as before. It comes out warm, by the time you've got home it doesn't have much heat left in it... A stark contrast to my original review.
Recommendation: Eat on-site only unless you live just down the road. For drive thru service, seek one of the other nearby sites.

South normanton branch, what a set of incompetent individuals, check your food before leaving, especially if you are eating out. Things missing, the wrong drinks, chicken instead of beef. Come on, how hard can it be. ?

3 people in queue.
Staff just talking between each other. Not trying to rush.
Now is 10:29 and I?m still waiting.
It was saying please collect your order 15 minutes ago. No one bothered to actually give it to me.

I ordered breakfast on the app. People were using the pick up bays incorrectly. I was made to wait 5 minutes whilst the operators took the mick. Told them my code. Sorry breakfasts over. Waste of fuel and time!!

Terrible service.
Staff more interested in chatting about their weekend plans. Ordered a burger and a drink and had to request an update after 30 minutes.
No apology or anything from the staff.

Good service and nice location. It's just the parking and the rush that is a bit upsetting. Some people were quite rude in the parking because of the shortage of space. There is a 90mins limit on the stay so be careful. Overall a nice experience

Avoid this McDonald's. Every time there is multiple items missing from the order and as usual nothing is ever done about it. Couldn't rate this McDonald's low enough. Perfect if you aren't hungry

Waited 20 minutes for food for it to all be incorrect both meals wrong and unable to eat,
Was passed back to be remade and 25 later nothing was done and they then said they couldn?t remake as breakfast menu had closed.

I have yet to receive a correct order delivered from this branch. Missing food yet again. Impossible to get through on the phone to complain. My advice is to collect only, and always check your order before leaving the window. Even better advice, divert to Somercotes.
