First time visiting since the refurb, and inside is so much better than it was. Lovely colour scheme, decor and new counter unit (especially liked the cake one).
The food is still tasty, but you don't get a huge amount for your money anymore - I had the Peak Breakfast which consisted of 1 slice of toast, 1 sausage, 1 small rasher of bacon, some beans, a mushroom and half a tomato.
The staff were a tad off for some reason, only one lass with brown and blonde hair could manage a smile.
Obviously need to come back and try the lunch menu, but for breakfast I'll be paying a little extra for a lot more food next door.
Wheelchair accessibility: Temporary ramp alongside the stairs for those who need it and pushchairs.

Took Mum for coffee and cake ,The cakes seemed expensive but I have to say they were the best cakes we have had in ages so we're well worth the money
We had an almond croissant and noughat roll
I will be back for the noughat roll again and again

I had the pie of the day, very nice indeed ?
Marked the atmosphere down a star as it was extremely noisy in there, work is being done but this was not the problem as such. Could do some soft furnishings to help reduce chatter.

Disappointed!!!! Used to love breakfast here. Not been for a little while, so didn't know about change in menu. Scramble was bland, and now served on different bread, which was so hard on the edges that i struggled to cut through. Sausage and bacon now served in cob instead of the lovely bread it used to be on. My scrambled arrived and I was asked if that was it. I said no we had another item. Five mins later my other half went to ask about his sandwich and it was handed to him. The plate was warm but contents of cob luke warm. We have never had service and food like this here before. Rubbish for over £20.

Came shopping and decided to bring our dog with us as advertised was all dog friendly. We came in to cafe massarella and sat by the door no signs anywhere as to say where you could sit with the dog but could see other people inside were sat with a dog too. Rudely asked by one of the staff after about 10 mins to move to another table as the area we were sat had "new seating'. We don't let our dog climb or sit on any furniture so were abit unsure why. We ended up having to move and squash inbetween two tables. After deliberating decided to leave as wasn't impressed with the chaotic service and rude attitude encountered. Perhaps you should make it clear where dogs are allowed to sit and not expect people to be psychic. Unfortunately we went elsewhere and spend our money and will tell friends not to eat there aswell.

Not a lot of choice, ladies serving were lovley but what was on offer was a very limites and expensive selection I'm afraid, not a patch on our last visit there about 5 years ago.

Friendly staff and good cafe style food. We have been going regularly for years. Now it has a nature reserve on the doorstep and soon to open its new conservatory (june 2024)
