Very average.
Although pre-booked we waited almost 30 mins to get served.
Drinks OK. Food just OK, but nothing special. Staff nice and friendly but very slow.
They have aircon, but didn't use it on the hottest day of the year.
Go across the road to Bod. They have great service and aircon.

After recently moving back to the area, I spotted this restaurant when driving past. As italian is my favourite food, I decided to try it for a special family takeaway for my birthday. We found the food to be tasty, the staff were friendly. The atmosphere in the restaurant when I went to collect the food, was pleasant and relaxed, and was nicely decorated throughout. We found the price to be more than reasonable, and a good variety of food to chose from, even for picky eating kids. We will most certainly be going back. Thankyou for a lovely birthday treat.

Dined here last night whilst in the area. Very busy and noisy with an open kitchen and tables close together. Staff nice but very busy. Didn?t have draft beer or cider. Pizza ? was a bit strange. Very flat like a place mat and base more resembled bread rather than pizza dough. Cheese was good and was creamy and runny. Extra topping a massive £3.50 each !! I usually have onions but not at this price. Calzone pizza was ok. Too much dough. Again quite bread like and thick but inside was nice.
Pizza dough needs to be as tasty & crisp for us and as nice to eat as the topping.

Had some great service here, and the food on the whole was just about ok, but my wife reported that the lasagne was not very good at all. Nice and cheesy but the bolognese just tasted of tomato probably won't be visiting again

Wowch the food is amazing only words I can use. If I lived in matlock would be back here every week. Staff are.so polite and nice. Food portions are a.good size and it's not expensive. Please if you are in matlock make sure you visit :)

Starter was great. Steak dish was tough. Told the waiter he just said Oh and went away. My wife loves lasagne but didn't like it here.

This is a nice place. The food was hot and very tasty, everyone was very attentive, it could have done with some Italian music playing to give it a more authentic atmosphere, only down side was the restuarant was on the cold side, needs more heating in there, overall experience was pretty good.

We were excited about visiting Viva but unfortunately the food was really disappointing. We ordered two authentic Italian pasta dishes which both had far too much dried herbs that overpowered any other flavours.
