It is a disappointing pharmacy/shop, it is closed at lunch time for some reason which an outdated practice and when in there yesterday a rude lady was rudely ushering customers out because ?we are closing for lunch now?. It is unattractive from the outside as they look like they are expecting to be ram raided with unsightly internal sliding security mesh doors.

Helpful staff, I've had my flu vaccine here over the last couple of years & have been impressed. Also, the No 7 products are good.My only grumble is that they could do with updating the store.

Lovely little Boots store where you can go for advice (staff are always helpful) plus they have good deals on and the service has always been quick...I think some of the bad comments made by people on here are not genuine!

Its extremely run down, the shop looks dirty with hardly any staff. Also tried to go in at 5.20 and it was shut but clearly says 5.30 closing on the Internet.

This small branch of Boots Chemist in Matlock has a good outlay of required daily products, and the shelving is kept oderly and assistants are always helpfull should you have a query etc.The Pharmacy section I find very supportive and a pleasure to deal with. The recent changes to the store, security and team are a credit to you.Thank you. ?

I had the misfortune to shop at Boots Matlock, they are seriously understaffed and it impacts customers as people queueing are leaving in frustration. I was there about 15 mins and after waiting for ages I was told to go to the cashier near the door who was walking round the shop finding things for a young woman and chatting for ages before she finally served me. I told her I had been waiting for a long time and customers were not being treated fairly she said oh and was disdainful. I expected her to apologise but she was huffy. There is another chemist called Manor Pharmacy where I will do my shopping in future. I would have thought the cashier would have passed my comments on to management instead of being rudely dismissive to me instead you have lost a customer of 65 years.

Queued for half an hour for a prescription pick up, queue was by the door! Not a solitary occasion either! Prescription had been sent from GPS previous day, still not ready. Unfortunately the pharmacy service is appalling since Phoebe left.Last 2 visits for prescription, things are back to normal, quick and efficient, great, well done!

Long queue today and from what I can see there appears to be no urgency amongst the limited staff.

I visited for my flu jab. The staff in the shop, especially the pharmacist and the manager were fantastic. I saw them interact with a number of customers with complex needs on a very professional and understanding but firm way. So, I have nothing but praise for the staff. However, Boots is obviously under-resourcing its shops. The pharmacist had to do scheduled vaccinations whilst, at the same time, dealing with people walking in with problems that required their attention. Also the self pay tills were out of action so every customer needed a member of staff just for simple purchases. If Boots don't invest in their shops they will go downhill. So 5 stars for the staff, 1 star for Boots corporately.

Seem to be a shortage of pharmacists. Went to get my prescription and told that the pharmacist was busy doing flu jabs and l had to come back later. Surely if there is only one pharmacist it is not right to use him or her to do the jabs and not have a pharmacist on hand. There must be plenty of unemployed nurses that can go into Boots and do the jabs. When l said l couldn't go backwards and forwards l was told that l was welcome to go somewhere else. Bad attitude and bad service.

Went into empty shop at 2 minutes past 2. Waited by the pharmacy counter for 2-3 minutes whilst staff discussed something. Then told pharmacy is closed between 2 and 3 o clock. Lady said she was very hungry and I'd have to come back later. When I worked for Boots many years ago I'd be expected to serve the customer and then have lunch. ?
