This is my local store, and while there are many things I can forgive, last night's visit took the biscuit. The lady serving me (50-60, with short, greying hair and wearing glasses) was on the phone to someone called Sarah. She didn't pause the call to serve me or my wife, instead continuing the conversation while I felt like a distraction. There were numerous issues with the transaction, including items not scanning, but instead of putting the phone down and dealing with us properly, she did a half-baked job of resolving issues while focusing on her chat. There were no work issues discussed on the call and no acknowledgement that the situation wasn't ideal. Just someone who doesn't give a hoot about their job treating customers like a nuisance.

Employ more people please. Current staff is stressed by running in between till and picking online orders. Shelves half empty, can?t get what you came for.

Get a manager there and look after your customers. Most the time there is not staff to serve, then when you finally get someone they can?t be bothered to even speak, offer you a bag. Once you ask for a bag they can?t even be bothered to put it in the bag for you! Then you have to try and pack your own bag with zero room due to all the covid protection.
The shop is a joke, train your staff on customer service.
Train they to pack bags.
Train them to smile.
The prices you charge over Aldi etc you should be providing a service! Sort your site out!

There is a lot of 1 star reviews, but I have never had a problem and shop regularly. You may have to wait 30 seconds when they are short staffed but all good as I see it.

I?m afraid I won?t be using this store anymore. I live just around the corner but I would rather get in the car and shop elsewhere. It doesn?t matter what time it is, there?s always a queue. Staff ignore the queue and either continue shelf stacking or picking orders for internet shopping. If an online shopper swings by, chuff the queue, let?s focus on them and they can jump straight to the front, even though the queue is 10 deep. There?s an older fella who works there who clearly can?t cope and is overwhelmed. It?s a shockingly rubbish place to shop, and although convenient, I won?t be back.

Went to this shop many times to pick up household essentials mainly because it is an easy stop on my way home. Some staff (not all) should undergo training. They lack minimum customer service skills at the counter!

My girlfriend was denied the sale of tobacco because they said she didn't have a valid form of ID, my girlfriend is from Pakistan and has a BRP. We thought this was strange because her ID has never been refused before, so after looking it up on the official UK government website, we obviously found it IS a completely valid form of ID because it has her details, dob etc and even the British holographic Emblem that all other forms of valid ID have. So after presenting them with this new information (the assistant manager and the person who refused her) they came to the conclusion that it was still "too much of a risk" for them to sell it to her! Absolutely unbelievable, and to be honest we can't help feeling like this was discrimination. To note, I myself was not asked for ID at all, even though I'm the same age as my girlfriend - they legally should have asked for mine too because I clearly wasn't her guardian or parent. But they didn't. I'm white. Fortunately we haven't experienced anything like this before elsewhere, and hope we don't again. It was very embarrassing and belittling for her.

The shop is fine. But they is just one particular staff who keeps insisting on selling me that Co op card thing to save 50p. Which I politely declined . But now it's every time I go and she serves me she keeps trying to push it even though I've said no over 10 times now. if I was that bothered by 50p. I'd just not come to this shop ? anyway it got to the point of me saying no that I had to stop her and sayIf I wanted it. Then I'd get it.She goes. Sorry I didn't mean to nag.

Most of the staff (except 2) are plain rude and have no customer skills about them at all. The lady with the fake ponytail has no shame at all in discussing her personal life to each customer which just results in longer queue time. The hours are very hit and miss with no idea with one day to the next if it's still open in the evenings. Convenient location to my house so forced to use the store. However the staff does let it down and need to be helpful
