Called the shop on bank holiday Monday to ask what time they closed, was told 4pm, said I'd be over with some items shortly, call ended. Walked 15 mins with an armful of heavy bike and fencing gear to be told the shop had stopped taking donations at 3pm - this in itself wasn't the problem, but a woman behind the desk who then said that her male colleague had also told me this information as she'd heard him on the phone to me (how she knee it was me remains a mystery), which he hadn't, and she came across as irritated by me and argumentative. I said the chap on the phone hadn't told me this, and she pulled a really stupid, silly face which suggested I was lying. I told her I wouldnt have made the trip down here had I known it'd be a waste of time, and left. Not interested in arguing with staff.

Brought a few mystery bags off this shop (black bags in the shop for £3.50 that?s in their large trolleys) yes they are mystery bags yes sold as seen but didn?t expect to be covered in bites when sorting through them I havnt got any Pets in my home once I opened up the black bin bags I bought through the night I was itching and was covered in (probably flea bites) all over my legs and arms wont be getting any more just be warned you never know what your goin to get or catch! what I got was ripped and stained clothes that I just thrown straight out and had to pay extra for bite cream at the chemist afterwards.

Nice big charity shop. Packed to all corners with stuff from kids toys to adult clothes and home decor. Free (time limited) car park outside.

Bernardos used to be my favourite charity shop in long eaton. The shop was always tidy, clean and nicely laid out. I don't no what has happened of late but I came in this morning and pretty much turned around Instantly. I had a brief look around the childrens section where I was met with clothes off there hangers on the floor, what looked like a broken toy crown on the floor. There was no organisation on the shelves with an awful lot of stuff just shoved on the shelves. I understand you can't control how customers put things back but it didn't look as if any staff member had been out to even check how it presented to potential customers.I hope the shop will get back to it former standard as it was a shame to see it as it was.

Convenient place to park and drop items off. The chap on the desk today (I?ve encountered before) never seems to be very friendly or amenable. I?m sure it?s a fairly thankless task but it is one he has chosen to do.

Excellent charity shop, much larger than most, with a large range and variety of items. I really don't understand people who say here that the prices are high (I don't find them high - for example, their books are significantly cheaper than the British Heart Foundation along the road) or who seem to think that charity shops exist to help them - this particular charity exists to help children in real need, it's not there to provide crazy knock-down bargains to its customers. Quite a lot of the items are new. The staff - there are quite a lot of them because it's such a big store - seem more energetic and friendly than you find in a number of other, quieter charity shops. You'll hardly ever be the only person in there: it's often busy. Great place. More charity shops should be like this. And it's open until 6pm most days.

Charity shops like this need to understand the balance between getting a reasonable price for donated goods and taking the mick. This used to be a good shop prices are now insane better off going to other charity shops in long eaton random hours as well one Saturday recently wasn't even open even though advertised as open

Prices are reasonable and always fresh stock out and I like knowing when I buy from charity I am supporting the charity.

So expensive should be ashamed , pricing items so high. Remember a charity shop is to helpPeople in need not ripe them off. Who ever does the pricing needs to get a reality check.
