Not the best experience for a special occasion booked this weekend, service was slow, food wasn’t liked by all 5 of us and one meal was inedible. The portions were ridiculous and if you order a flat iron steak be prepared to get just that with fries and pay £18 ! A couple of our party ordered chicken, can’t go wrong...

We booked a garden pod to celebrate my sons’ graduation, it was so comfortable and cosy, food was amazing, delicious and well presented, staff were so friendly, our waitress arranged a special treat

The lovely old building has been given a much needed make over and a major new contemporary extension built to house a modern & special restaurant. We’ve designed and built a place where you’ll find a wonderful ambience amongst an eclectic combination of original features and modern interpretations. We hope you’ll agree we have transformed this historic and much loved watering hole, into a first class traditional gastropub with a modern cutting edge.
