A pleasant country pub in pretty rural surroundings. I visited with a friend ona busy Friday evening.
The staff were friendly, polite, professional and managed that difficult balance of attentiveness and unobtrusiveness perfectly.
Both the selection of food available and it?s quality was very good, I will have to go back to try more of the menu soon.
There was a wait between ordering and service but that is expected in the context of properly cooked food and I would not want it to change.

What a great pub
There was two Guys at the bar who made us welcome when we entered. the young lady who took are meal order was very pleasant and the meal was great .Top pub .Top service.

We came here in our campervan for a trial first run. Permission was given to park up so we repaid that by consuming a couple of lovely pies and a mozzarella sticks (divine) starter. Washed them down with some nice ales and then Guinness, and then retired to the van to be serenaded by sheep in the distance.
A lovely pub with really pleasant staff, can recommend, do book if you want to eat though.

A hidden gem! Found this place en route from climbing Thorpe Cloud. We were absolutely starving and this place DELIVERED! We had the tagine, the Korean chicken kebab flatbread, and halloumi fries. BOY! The young man who served us was delightful and the meal was incredibly fresh, tasty, and plentiful. We didn't leave a crumb! Very fair prices for great quality food, a beautiful view of Derbyshire including Alport Heights from the restaurant window, and a smooth playlist to top if off - it was everything we needed! Will endeavour to visit again to sample their INSANE pie collection!

This was our first visit to The Tiger. It wasn't too busy but we'd booked a table which was ready for us. After ordering, it took a while for the food to arrive but it was worth the wait. The portions were really generous and the food was piping hot, which I like. The surroundings were great, views from the back of the pub are spectacular too. We'll definitely go back.

Called in on the off chance after hearing great things. They were clearly very busy but managed to accommodate a table of 4. Great service, even better food! Would definitely recommend

Just been to pie night I had steak Stilton black pudding and haggis pie it was fantastic it melted in my mouth the only thing missing was a slice of bread to wipe the dish out with ?
