I popped in last week in the hope to sort an old account out. I was met with a friendly hello by a man called Daniel. He was absolutely fantastic! Daniel was so professional and helpful and had a huge willingness to listen, find solutions and assist me. He not only helped me get my account up and running again, he also explained the newly improved nationwide APP changes for an android phone user (coming soon) as well as telling me about some great savings account deals. I think exceptional customer service is rare and I really want to sing Daniel's praises. I was happily about to close down my entire Nationwide account but genuinely won't now, and will most likely open up a savings account too. I'll be back in soon with my new card when it arrives and hope to see Daniel again to set things up and become a regular Nationwide customer again. Thank you!

I don't know why it's getting negative reviews I personally don't think it as bad as people make out to be. My experience with the Ilkeston branch have been great. They have been very helpful when I needed help with my account

My dad is waiting for a hip replacement and is housebound. Earlier this week I went to pay his regular £400 a month into his account for him and the jobsworth behind the counter refused to allow me to do it, going as far as accusing me in front of all the other customers of using his account to launder money. After explaining the situation he just fobbed me off and told me to bring my dad in to the branch in person, even though I told him my dad is unable to do this. You'll get an absolutely appalling, uncaring service from this branch and I urge you to take your custom elsewhere.

I have just been to pay money into the Nationwide. 3 of there staff were acting as a sort of meet and greet and only 2 behind the counter. i dont want a hello and a chat I want to pay my money in and leave as soon as possible as I'm sure did the 9 other people in the que behind me. My lunchtime is precious to me and nationwide made me waste it. put more staff behind the counters please and stop with the meeters and greeters

Totally agree with Sherrie37. I have banked with these for years and never had an issue. Brilliant staff always available to help. Ques are very small when I go compared with other banks I have used.

Best Building Society in Ilkeston from my point of view. We've Never had a problem with them and they are some of the friendliest people I have met in a bank in Ilkeston! 5 stars easy!
