Beautiful country inn. Perfect base to stay for our two nights exploring all areas of the Peak District. Our room was a really good size, clean and comfortable. Super friendly and efficient staff that are clearly passionate about their customers experience and the business.
We had breakfast and evening meals during our stay. All absolutely delicious especially the steak pie! Packed full of steak!
Thankyou The Moon Inn for a fantastic stay. We can't wait to return.

We stopped in here after a long walk in the peaks. The staff were friendly. But there is a very limited selection of beers and the food was really poor, especially for the price. Cheap sausages and bistro gravy for 17 quid and a really poorly made, dry, overbaked pie for 20 quid. A side of watery microwaved broccoli and peas was to be shared between 3 of us even though each dish was supposed to come with it's own portion. Skip this place and go over the road for fish and chips instead

Myself, my husband and mum came here when looking for somewhere for lunch after walking the dog and very pleasantly surprised! Pet friendly and some really sweet dogs greeted us as we went in. Really warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Also as a vegan I struggle to find nice food options, however the vegan burger was absolutely delicious and really grateful to get to enjoy my lunch out with my family. Highly recommend and we will definitely go back :)

We stayed here Saturday night. The room was a good size, clean and the bed was very comfortable.The pub was very friendly and the staff were excellent. Enjoyed the food and also a reasonable choice of beer. We would happily stay here again when in the area. Thank you to The Moon Inn. ?

Perfect for people visiting with dogs. Not really for me as too pet friendly. Breakfast was nice but had to wait too long for it to come out as freshly cooked, could do with adding a toaster so you could do your own while waiting for your Breakfast to come out. Nowhere near enough choice as you get in other places, where you can help yourself to everything. It wasn't bad but just not right for me.

I cannot recommend The Moon Inn highly enough! Josh is the most amazing host, cooking some of the best pub food EVER! The atmosphere in the evening is cosy and inviting with a superb team looking after everyone, and the rooms are warm, comfortable and have everything you need. It was the perfect start to our 23 mile challenge across the 9 Edges the following day. We are already looking to return later in the year!
