“Wow! What an amazing place. Everyone at the 21st just loved pulling their own pints. The rooms were lovely and all ensuite and the long dining room table was brilliant for a sit down meal. It was just the perfect venue. Not only that it's owned by the loveliest people. I can't recommend it enough. Thank you Lisa and Jenny.”
“Atmosphere was warm & cosy, homely feel to the place. The staff were amazing and accommodating with our needs. Food was stunning. Our room was incredibly large, very clean , floor was uneven but this is not a complaint, it just added to the quirkiness of the place. Would definitely return. Thank you guys for the R&R we set out to enjoyRooms: Our room was massive, clean and comfortableWalkability: Great base for walks in the areaFood & drinks: Delicious”
“Echoing the comments of Johnny Q from 9+ years ago: Ye Olde Nags Head has a specialty in sausage & mash: 5 types of sausage, 4 types of mashed potatoes, 4 different sauces. Plus the option of a giant "bin lid" Yorkshire pudding for £1.50. It was stupendous, and the brownie with caramel sauce dessert afterwards was nearly as good. The rest of my family had Sunday Roast, which was also superb. Service was friendly and timely, and helpful with our questions. Ambiance varies at the Nag's Head from room to room; in the nearly-empty breakfast dining room in the corner of the building, it was a bit forlorn. Busier rooms near the heart of the action seemed cozier.”
“Absolutely lovely afternoon! Came with our friends (who are getting married here in a month) for a Sunday lunch — superb food and superb service from our waitress, Bethan! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice spot after a Sunday hike :)”
