“Echoing the comments of Johnny Q from 9+ years ago: Ye Olde Nags Head has a specialty in sausage & mash: 5 types of sausage, 4 types of mashed potatoes, 4 different sauces. Plus the option of a giant "bin lid" Yorkshire pudding for £1.50. It was stupendous, and the brownie with caramel sauce dessert afterwards was nearly as good. The rest of my family had Sunday Roast, which was also superb. Service was friendly and timely, and helpful with our questions. Ambiance varies at the Nag's Head from room to room; in the nearly-empty breakfast dining room in the corner of the building, it was a bit forlorn. Busier rooms near the heart of the action seemed cozier.”
