“I don't know what to say other than, "Thank you, thank you, thank you".Sunday 10th December, my 8 month pregnant wife and I were driving through Bamford in heavy rain on our way to pick up my mother in law from the airport. We went through a flooded area of road, not very fast but I managed to hit a hidden wheel trim hard enough for it to get lodged in the plastic guard under the engine and ripped part of it off.I'm not much of a mechanic but even I could see that it needed to be removed as it was scraping along the road. I thought, it would be the end of my journey and I would have to call out recovery.I decided to drive down to the petrol station at the junction to call recovery services, absolutely gutted at not being able to continue my journey. On the way to the petrol station I noticed this garage with a light on. It was 15:30 and I expected nothing but I was desperate. There was a man in the garage minding his own business, working away, and bless the poor guy I pretty much told him of my desperate predicament. He was a soft spoken chap and he most certainly didn't have to help me but he did. He stopped what he was doing, got under my car and within 15 minutes he had me patched up enough to carry on with my journey.I wanted to pay the man but he wouldn't accept. I did manage to get him to shake my hand. I had no other way to show my gratitude. Needless to say I am grateful to the man in this garage, whose name I neglected to ask.Sir, you are a gentleman. You made what could have been an expensive, stressful event far more tranquil than you had to and for that, I am grateful.”
