A proper local, no frills, it makes its own atmosphere without gimmicks. Excellent cask ales, usually 4 to choose from.

Fantastic old school pub. Lovely atmosphere and fantastic drinks. The dark mild especially.

Nice chilled place which has a great selection of beers all at very reasonable prices.

Sad place you first see a sign on window. No toilets available. Do you want customers or not?

Went in for a drink after a walk, very accommodating to our group. Big screens showing sports. Lovely pub atmosphere.
Parking: There's a few free carparks leading up to it also free street parking.

What is wrong with that woman behind the bar. Won't be going in there again.

Nice Robinson pub on the top of the road,
Also featured on The League of Gentlemen,
Hadfield is indeed Royston Vasey,
The Masons Arms is now Tesco,
And the Butchers Shop that sold
' special meat', I.e., missing visitors to Royston Vasey,
( no, not really)
At 88 Station Road is now closed.
A quiet village on the way to / from
Glossop.

Popped in during middle of day for 2 cheeky half pints. Served by a lovely waitress - no funny business just great pints and great outdoor seating.

This is a lovely pub at the Hadfield end of the Longdendale trail. A tiny bit too TV and sports, but that's being really picky. Always great service, and well kept Robbies beer.

A pub famously featuring throughout the League Of Gentlemen series. A local pub for local people. Smashing. ?

Came in for a well deserved pint after a long intense walk, the barmaid was very nice and welcoming, saw my pint needed topping up without asking, sat and drank it outside watching the sun go down, beautiful.

Don?t serve food which is fine but also don?t allow food to be brought in. Don?t accept Scottish notes? Do they take ones from Northern Ireland? If they are worried about fake notes surely it would be easier to just educate the staff, or invest money on a UV light rather than a bunch of signs and rules. Also a smile would be nice.

Lovely pub, gets quite busy, which is testament to the atmosphere and welcome you get.

Very good beer but a little bit expensive.
