Just been in to pick up my prescriptions and the lady that served me was a little bit rude. She advised me that additional goods from the Tesco shop shouldn?t be paid for at the pharmacy, she did on this occasion allow me to pay for my additional items at the pharmacy. The lady in question could have been a bit friendlier about it. For further reference Tesco Glossop pharmacy make sure you have signs up at the pharmacy (as I didn?t see any) advising customers that they can only pay for items purchased at the pharmacy there, to avoid any further confusion and rude service.

I quite agree with the other 1 star review. Sadly the management here seems to think they can do what they want with patients prescriptions. I have had my prescription sent there from my gp surgery, Only to be told theres nothing arrived at this tesco pharmacy, after going back to the gp's to be told it has been sent already, Ask again at the pharmacy which after asking again to be told actually my prescription is there and they dont have it in stock and ask gp for something else!!! Absolute sham service with mixed information depending on who you get. But the head chief whos names on the wall seems to think he can make up his own rules and have a chip on the shoulder even saying go to a different pharmacy like he owns it lol. Really shocking and would seriously consider putting in official complaint when my health is better as i have had open heart surgery a month ago and seriously need my medication and not the attitude, lack of care and unnecessary stress. Before i desiginated this particular pharmacy, i asked them all relevent questions about their service and if they can provide me with my medications before i had my surgery, I was assured i would be able to get my prescriptions, Only to be told today they cant. The manager himself said he has stopped staff requesting my repeat prescriptions which i need everyday as some of the medications are warfarin, aspirin and other vital medications in nature, dressings, emergency injections for INR etc. I feel these were refused for no genuine reason. I requested to have in writing from the manager the reason why I can not get my prescription to my nominated pharmacy (tescos being that pharmacy) to which he said he can not so this, then to change his mind to eventually being promised i will get it in writing by Tuesday. We shall wait and see. Thank you for reading and hopefully we all stay safe and well.

Not a present experience, staff and management need to have professional training in customer service, to actively lie over prescription time frame giving conflicting information then to be accused of being rude when clearly there is a leadership issue mainly with pharmacy manager who in my option is an hostile individual who is running out of control within his leadership, I would clearly stay clear of this place, try another pharmacy one of which is run with efficiency.....

support your local shops on the high street and Aldi. vote with your feet and never shop here. all the food is very poor quality and the fish and meat is always old and smelly. A very poor cafe and the food is always cold. drop a dress size or belt hole and buy real food at aldi or local shops.

It's a tesco's, you know what to expect! Except in the cafe area! OMG. They Employ a woman who doesn't know her arse from her elbow and serves at the speed of a very slow disorganized snail! If you want to wait in a queue for over half an hour when there are only 4 people in front of you, and watch a mad woman count the breakfast items over 7 times, then this is your idea of heaven. The cafe let's down an otherwise good tesco's store.

This is a large branch of Tescos supermarket. They stock the usual wide range of food and drink. In addition to this they also have a good reasonably priced cafe and an area that sells cheap clothes and homewares. Large carpark and open 24hrs. Other shop in the complex include Next and Argos, these shops are also open late.

Tesco in Glossop is a large store - superstore. They stock large variety and quantities of different products. It is easily accessible, with large carpark and enough trolleys for the customers. I only give it 2 stars as I do not think it deserves more. The shelves are often empty - not filled regularly, sometimes the price markings on the shelves are misplaced or missing altogether, there is never enough staff around to ask for assistance and for the tills, it is untidy most times and products are often moved around so it takes much longer to find them. Also, some products are often discontinued and replaced by Tesco's own brand. The selection of red meat is small and the meat is often of not a good quality, tends to go off well before its use by date - I switched to my local butcher for all my meat. The clothes isles are great if you are shopping for small children but the adult clothing is often overpriced for what it is and the selection is quite poor. They used to sell the value clothing range there but no longer, which is a shame because especially the fleeces were great value and lasted at least 2 years. Even the £3.00 jeans were good for leisure wear. I only use Tesco for their value range cleaning products, greek yoghurt, goat's milk, goat's butter and punnets of fresh blueberries. I used to like the prawns from them but not anymore, not enough in the pack anymore and fresh fish stall is just awful - smells really bad, doesn't entice you to buy fish there. This supermarket could do much better!!!

This Tesco has a wide range of facilities and has a clothing section and cafe, and a petrol station adjacent to it. I must say though that the cafe went downhill recently and since they started self-service the food is often lukewarm or cold. As a supermarket, the shelves are well stocked and the staff are friendly and helpful. There's plenty of checkouts so there's rarely a queue, especially since they introduced self-service checkouts. The store is open 24 hours (except on Sundays) but the best time to shop is after 6pm where many short-dated items are yellow-stickered and you can pick up a bargain for the freezer.
