Went in as I had looked online and had been into other Costa establishments with my well behaved dog. Looked on the front of the door for assurance and saw "all is welcome" with a photo of a dog, no mention of having to be a service animal. Was told instantly he wasn't allowed in when I said oh that's not very clear on the sign, no attempt at a reason so I just left. For a dog friendly town on holiday I would not recommend and pretty much any other cafe allowed him when asked.

Decent coffee but in common with many other branches, in dire need of a makeover. This is getting steadily worse. All the chairs are now stained and need replacing.
This isn't Costa's fault but after 3pm it's more like a soft play area with kids running around, shouting. It also seems to have the only easily located public toilet in town, so non customers use it all the time.
A real positive is the staff. They're all terrific ?

A little treat. Called into Costa this morning after my eye test, didn't need New Glasses, so thought id pop in and top up my caffeine and cake energy levels. Lovely place, helpful friendly staff, coffee here (any Costa) is my personal favourite. Also my favourite cake is the millionaires shortbread Mmmmm unfortunately it looked as good as it always does but fell apart when I bit into it, luckily my plate was right underneath it, from then it was like eating a bit of a cake jigsaw? Shame really ? But won't let that put me off. I will be back. Better luck next time.

Based next to the square makes it a excellent location on a sunny day to sit outside or get a take away and sit on the grass. Coffee are nice and plenty choice of food.
