We came for Sunday dinner 17/8/ 2025 I can?t help thinking that the chef has changed or perhaps working on a rota however the food is certainly not as good as it once was! We have had many many meals here & they have always been first class! However yesterday was poor! Garlic bread thin like cardboard! No cheese or onions! & underdone ! Roast potatoes very greasy! Yorkshire pudding too thin & no substance! Think we are going to give it a break for a few weeks & hopefully it can get back on track!

Had pizza fillet steak and Margarita tonight absolutely gorgeous was ready for collection piping hot and delicious steak was the best will definitely be back

We always come on a Sunday as the Sunday roast is amazing so tasty! Have tried their other meals which are also excellent.. especially the steaks!

We all had an excellent meal, steaks cooked to perfection with thick cut chips and trimmings.
Toilets were pristine. Genuinely friendly staff and manager.

Just had a lovely afternoon here, great food, friendly atmosphere, beautiful surroundings,landlady and staff friendly and efficient what else would you want. It really is a gem of pub could not fault anything about the place ! Will definitely be sooner rather than later

Very poor lunch Yorkshire puddings burnt black couldn?t cut them, pork cut so thin it had no taste we had to ask for apple sauce when it came there wasn?t a T spoon each.and expensive for what we received

Not been for over a year but having just been back, the food for our party of 6 was pretty hit and miss. Nice sea bass, ok Sunday roast, poor overcooked (expensive) steak. We saw friends of ours at the pub too who said similar that the food wasn?t as good as when they last visited.

Came here a year ago and was fantastic lovely food
Was there yesterday and food was over salted on starter and main meal, had burger and bread was worse than a fast food company and meat was rubbish
Risked a pudding and was not to the standard a year ago , was very disappointing ,what?s happened ?

We got the book Extra Mile and went having read that. What a good job we did. Food and service excellent. A warm welcome and great for a stop off the motorway.

Outstanding customer service.
Chris and his Team showed excellent customer service skills which seems to be extremely rare these days.

Amazing afternoon for a party of 11. We had Sunday dinner. Mix of beef, port and vegetarian. Hot food, fresh veg, excellent service. Comfortable chairs lovely ambiance. We will be back thank you so much for making our family afternoon special.
