I am recovering from pneumonia so decided to get a carvery through deliveroo when it came I had no gravy which I'd ordered the peas were like bullets there were 2 pieces of turkey like rubber a piece of fatty beef and gammon which I hadn't even ordered and don't like I got in touch with deliveroo who offered me 80p from a £18 meal I didn't even eat absolutely disgusting contacted toby carvery the answer to that is because you ordered through a 3rd party nothing we can do lovey don't call me lovely when your about 20 and I'm 59 I used to go for breakfast and carverys all the time and take the family well you won't be getting my money again LOVEY

A great place to go for a carvery. Nice, fresh,hot food. Plenty of choice and can add go large or vegetarian if you want to.

Unfortunately on this occasion I found some of the carvery not at an acceptable temperature. Eg. Mashed potatoes were Luke warm, cold by the time I'd sat to eat, and the roast potatoes could have done with some more roasting as were more like boiled potatoes. Appears that core temperature checks aren't done regularly when food is waiting in the pass.

Great place to eat. Only wish we had one near where I live, near Skegness.
I'm from Derby so usually visit when we go back to Derby. I hope the management is listening.

The food was of a good standard the stuffing was soft as usual but just means I avoid it and the cauliflower cheese has no cheese . The service from Terryann was spot on pleasant polite and attentive and did a good job of selling the lemon meringue pie special .

Excellent, friendly service, lovely fried brekky, only loss of a star was beans too runny, and atmosphere great but just too hot with rads on full blast (can't turn them down) and an open fire (fire is lovely though!)Yorkies with jam are amazing! ?

Food was ok, very tight with the meat I have to say. The 2 guys behind me said exactly the same thing. At the rate they portion the meat out, you could feed the world 765 times over. I had barely anything on my plate. The service was great though, I had a young girl serve me who was very attentative. She also informed me that they do not get the tips, the tips go to management. I said I will not be bothering then. That is a typical, and very poor indictment of the modern corporate greedy business model. I hadn't been to a Toby carvery for years and will not be returning. There are alot better carvery out there who treat their staff better and actually give you a full portion of meat. Their xmas works bash for the staff is in March or April I think she may have said. Let that sink in.

The service here is very good. I often go for a pudding and drink or carvery.
Dietary restrictions: I have coeliac disease and the service I received from Cerys on my last visit to the toby was exceptional. She ensured my food was made separately and that there was no risk of contamination or contact with any gluten.

Best toby carvery I've been to. Great food, great staff. Going to make this my go-to.
Only issues I had is with the food running out and having to awkwardly wait for 5 mins for them to restock.
