The food was good, had the festive menu the chicken and brie burger with cranberry sauce. It was very busy and we sat in the family area which was better as the rest of the place was pretty much full of people drinking. I know it's a pub and this is what you get but we went in for food at lunchtime so wanted it more relaxed. The only thing that I'd say needs improving is the coffee area. It's right next to the kitchen doors and there is only one machine so you are having to wait a long time with staff trying to get past with plates of food. Which must be very annoying for staff. All in all I'd go again but probably not with children. I feel the other whether spoons in derby is a lot better.
Parking: No parking in the centre
Kid-friendliness: No I wouldn't take my children here.

Nice food this place is good to go get sum food as it's not as bizy as the standard order in derby . As per witherspoon glasses on tablets, but that's spoons for you tablets was cleared slowly, so not too bad as staff was bizy definitely go back

Went during a Saturday afternoon Amazing food, service. Despite the staff being overrun, the place was packed, probably 120 people inside and about 12 members of staff (including kitchen staff) taking orders at the bar, delivering food and drinks. The poor staff were so busy they could do with another 5 bodies easily. Great staff need more support though.

Cannot go inside or outside with my dog. Obviously they do not want regular customers that are sensible. I feel discriminated against, when I am willing to sit outside with the smokers, in the rain. Most pubs in Derby are pub friendly. DOWN MARKET WETHERSPOON WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP.

This Pub has free live entertainment Monday club is the best day for this. Disabled access for all the mobility scooters. Friendly service.

A usual weatherspoons, very busy, short staffed, there was only one guy running around trying to serve food,drinks ,clear tables .thisxwas mid day in wk,out of most drinks staff complain about working past their shift times. Because she had to let us know the drinks we ordered weren't available.nit great.
The food was OK, but the air con was on over our table, and it was freezing so the food didn't stay hot long.and Before you ask why sit there, it was busy, no other table .

It's one of the better wetherspoons. Had an amazing pint, it was called Green Devil (Oakham brewery)6%. The food was hot and quick, and the service at the bar was quick. I can't complain other than the 2 mile walk to the toilet lol but that comes as standard at spoons.
