Quite expensive compared to similar eating places. Service needs to be a little more customer sensitive. (Little interaction felt or seen) Toilet facilities need better signage. Seat and tables were not particularly comfortable. Neverthe less it is worth a visit and you will feel better for it.

Arrived at 2.45 to be told they're not serving food. Asked about icreacream took ages for anyone to serve us outside although lots of staff. Sat outside, dirt tables not cleared, toilet door open and chairs on top of tables being put away like we were in the way. Very expensive too for such poor service.

Wonderful experience this morning at the Apple Tree. Delicious waffles and friendly attentive service. It's worth booking in advance as it was very busy.

Visited for morning coffee and a croissant with my son and grandson. We sat in the courtyard.
You have 3 seating areas to choose from 2 indoor a 1 outdoor. This is a lovely coffee shop serving freshly cooked food and hot and cold drinks.
The gift shop has so many unusual and beautiful gifts and cards you can always find a unique pressie or treat for yourself. The staff are friendly and everywhere is clean and welcoming.

My daughter booked me an afternoon tea for two, she went with me. The food was delicious, more than enough ( brought some home) the staff were absolutely lovely. Will definitely be going again. Thankyou for such a lovely experience .

A little hidden gem in Derbyshire. Definitely recommend you going if you haven't been already. The staff are lovely and the food is incredible! Bookings required to sit indoors otherwise turn up and enjoy

Visited Appletree on Monday for lunch followed by cakes. All the beverages and food looked stunning and tasted delicious ? I visited again today because I left my jacket, so I came by this morning to pick it up and had a flat white and almond croissant. Both were delightful ? Staff are friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work I will be back

I have visited The Apple Tree many times over the years and I have never had a bad experience, food or service. It?s ALWAYS been exceptional. They really have it down to a fine art.
Last night I was lucky enough to get a table at their new After Hours evening. We loved the slower pace of the After Hours evening, the vibe is completely different to visiting in the daytime. It felt more intimate.
Now onto the food..! There?s only one word to describe the dishes we consumed and that is DELICIOUS! One of the best meals we?ve had in a very long time. We went for 6 dishes as they?re designed for sharing and it was perfect. All of the dishes are cooked fresh so come out when they?re ready - a constant conveyor belt of food ? They all packed a punch in terms of flavour but felt light.
Thank you The Apple Tree and well done for creating another event which was fantastic. A huge shoutout to JoJo and front of house staff for impeccable service. Not forgetting the incredible chefs behind the scenes ???

We went for the after hours on Friday and I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed it! The food was amazing as were the cocktails.
The blonde lady that served us was so friendly and helpful, I didn?t get her name but she was the perfect host for the vibe of the evening.
I also mentioned it at the time but I have an allergy to peppers (chilli peppers I am fine with) and it was so refreshing to have a menu where I could have ordered absolutely anything. I massively appreciated that. The ice cream and candle at the end for my birthday was a lovely touch too.
I also suggested the idea of sharer boards where it meant you could try more of the food but in smaller portions! But that was because it was so hard to choose from ?.
I will definitely be back to try more of the food, I really hope this night keeps on going.

We had previously been for a breakfast but went yesterday for dinner, to try out their new after hours evening menu.
We arrived a little earlier than our 6pm booking, we were welcomed with big smiles and seated straight away.
Menus for drinks and food came soon after.
Olive the lovely young lady who served us explained the menu and how many dishes we may want to order.
We ordered 3 each, the potions were generous, and came out of the kitchen when they were ready, which Olive had told us previously.
WOW the food was outstanding. Fresh ingredients, presentation was absolutely amazing. Exactly how food should be.
Overall a fabulous experience. Olive was superb, the ambience was amazing and the food as I said before was outstanding.
We will definitely return and highly recommend.

The food is always amazing at this place. They make the most delicious hot chocolates and milkshakes. The staff are lovely and the place is beautiful. Highly recommend this place, it gets very busy so you may need to book.

Wow, what a lovely cafe????
The portion sizes are generous, we weren?t expecting that much food honestly but very good value for money!
Staff were very lovely and kept asking if we need anything else. Theres searing inside but also outside and there?s a little outhouse with heating and a fire place where we sat. When sat outside you order through the hole in the wall.
Very cozy?, dogs are welcomed too!
Only thing was the matcha had ALOT of cold foam rather than actual drink?
Parking can be found at the Queens head pub round the corner?
