My friend went to this store , she spent ?139.57 they could not find her loyalty card so she could not get any discount, one of the items she purchased was simple solution urine destroyer as she has just got a puppy and was advised to buy this from her trainer, however this product does not work ,it states that dogs will not return to the same place to toilet once sprayed on the affected arear ,total rubbish don't waste your money .the puppy went back four times

I went to this pets at home and didn't have a good experience. The first time I went there, one staff member was nice and helpful but when I went there the next few times, staff where unhelpful. One staff lady would not let us get a hamster because she made out the cage was not big when the cage had tubes with lot's of clmibing space anc levels. Hoping to get a hamster, I went home disappointed.she said to get another cage one of theirs, stating the width of our cage wasn't enough. She really did not want us getting a hamster. Another time I went, one other staff member said we lived to far , (Ashbourne) another disappointment. Would not go here again.
However I went to pets at home in Derby Chaddesden, had a really better experience. There was a man who said our cage was, in his words, perfect. He helped us get a hamster. He had really good customer service. It was the opposite experience here, as he was really lovely to talk to. Thank you for making my day PAH Chaddesden.

A positive experience in the store today. I was seeking advice on the best type of lead for my dog.
The member of staff who served me (Andy) on the shop floor was extremely polite and helpful. Knowledgable on a range of products and he never once rushed or pressured me into a purchase.
I was served by Amanda at the till. Super friendly, polite and professional.
The only thing that I don't like is the tirade of questions you are hit with at the till.
Most people just want to complete their purchase and go about their day.
Also, the pets at home loyalty card doesn't actually benefit me in ANY way, yet I feel the staff are made to push for customers to be part of the 'incentive.'
It really does take away from a lot of the positives in the store.

There was plenty of choice in the products. But, there was a scarcity of staff. I felt sorry for the bunny rabbits on permanent show.
