Having been a customer for many years we took our daughter to open her 1st current account. No appts on a Saturday so turned up for 9:20 and sadly joined the queue. 25 min wait once they opened and we're off, only we weren't :( we just got taken to a tablet a d told to input all her details and then chappie left to deal with something else. 1 min in and we hit an issue. Nobody around so stood waiting for another 15 mins before finally getting help from Christian. Even he struggled but he persisted and made the experience a whole let better. My advice Nationwide is not to dismiss a new customer and make their 1st banking experience a rubbish one just to save cost. Put some effort in at the start it will make all the difference.

I had a really bad experience at the bank. I've been a customer since 2016, and despite my loyalty, I was talking to a staff member at the counter for about 30 minutes when her colleague rudely interrupted by shoving money in her face, asking for change for another customer. She didn?t even tell him off for that disrespectful behavior. To make matters worse, she told me I needed to fill out an online form for a visa dispute and that nothing else could be done until I did that. This isn?t the first time I?ve been treated unfairly; I?ve had multiple occasions where staff have rudely passed me off to others without even asking what my problem was. It feels like they don?t care about helping their customers at all. I hope they can improve their customer service!

Quite a big Nationwide branch then others. Staff are brilliant, Friendly and Happy to Answer my questions I had today. Got a new card reader and payed money in at the counter. Also Branches in a lot of areas aswell is another thing I like and appreciate.

Came in to swap my details over after getting married. Spoke to the most friendly and helpful person ever ! I?m so sorry I forgot how to spell his name but he?s from America !
He?s an absolute credit to nationwide he made mine and my husband?s day he was absolutely lovely.
Thank you so much for your help that day please pass on our comments as this man deserves some recognition as he was so kind and a pleasure to speak to it really did put a smile on our faces !! ?

These banks behave like a mafia. They take money from your bank and put you in trouble. After a few months, they say sorry, anyone who has this bank should throw it in the trash

Literally just left, I was in a situation where I was trying to transfer money from an old savings account asap for emergency house repairs, they all tried their hardest to help me and were very friendly the whole time, especially as it was right by end of day, 10/10 would recommend

An account problem occurred on the Friday which was 50/50 of our/Nationwide's making. As soon as informed on the Saturday the Derby staff sorted it out completely and completely satisfactorily. Tremendous customer service was displayed which is priceless in this day and age!

I?ve never had an issue with the branch and when I have, staff have always been attentive, responsive and extremely helpful. Couldn?t fault them at all, really good level of customer service I?m glad to bank with them!
