I am writing this to make you aware of the abuse of power that is happening within your establishment, with that said to also ensure that the bouncers are trained to understand when reasonable force should be used. Last night (15/3/24) myself, my boyfriend, sister & friend were at moomoo Derby. At around 1am my sister was told to ?get up? and was grabbed immediately by her arms and forcibly took her outside. I understand that the establishment has right to remove an individual from the premises. However, there were 2 bouncers that forcibly removed my sister from the nightclub; 1. Without explanation 2. This force was not proportionate to the situation. I can?t even begin to express my frustration and anger regarding this matter. My sister was not even offered any water nor given the opportunity to be supported out of the premises by us, which they could have easily done as we were with her during this moment, had they asked us to. Where was the duty of care? My sister did not display any disorderly behaviour prior to being forcibly removed by two bouncers from the club, as by law bouncers are not legally authorised to forcibly remove an individual from an establishment using physical contact or force unless the situation calls for it.

We went here indenting to have a good night. We?ve never had any trouble and appreciate you sometimes have some. One of our group?s ID didn?t scan at your machine and one of your bouncers immediate starting swearing at him and acted extremely unprofessionally. You demanded he get his bank statement out and didn?t explain why and started swearing at him. Once his bank statement showed his ID was legitimate you let him in but not before swearing at him . You completely ruined his night and had a power trip. When there?s been so many incidences of bouncers abusing their power recently you need to recognise this and start treating people with respect. He never acted aggressively at all and was simply confused. Please train your bouncers to treat people with respect

Wish I could put less than one star to be honest, me and my friends who have been in to the club many of times before were queueing up outside for a good 20 minutes and before the bouncer even checked my ID told my friend that I won?t be getting in. And then when I showed my bank statement with my address on which matched, to the owner they then said that ?it doesn?t look like me? not even giving me chance to scanIt. And no I don?t expect bouncers to be the most friendly but the way I got spoken to was vile. By one particular one who clearly thought he?s cut from a different cloth.

Came here last weekend, stood in the que for about 10 minutes only to be turned away by 3 bouncers and when we asked why they were rude saying they don't have to have a reason but to try bingo instead lol. Absolutely disgusting behaviour..

The busiest Nightclub in derby, or in other words the only decent place to go clubbing out in derby. Derbys night life is quite poor especially compared to Notts, however moomoos is by far the best in derby, always quite busy Friday - Sunday and has a broad range of music in various rooms. The drinks are expensive however that is common in nightclubs. The venue is quite strict and has a electronic ID scanner.

Avoid the place like the plague.23/06/2023:3 friends, completely sober (first venue of the night), walked towards the venue to have a few drinks.Even before we joined the queue, the security guards screamed "not tonight" and denied us entry.All the while whilst letting in around 30 odd white guests while denying entry to 3 ethnic Indians.Reason: "Oh we don't have to give you a reason. The camera looks and guests and the operator "tells" us who not to let in".Sure, we're stupid and don't know how the world works.Didn't realise this was the 1800s.You should be ashamed and disgusted by your own racist behaviour and I hope you get shut down.Looking at other reviews, it's obvious that this not the first time.Funnily enough, you probably lost about 150-250£ worth of business while other venues were extremely happy to take care of us.

such a clean club, staff are really friendly, and drinks are well priced and affordable. Feels like you're in a PROPER nightclub, music & djs are sick. deffo recommend ??
