My mum had Mediline during covid. When she was hospitalised, I visited her flat (I live 200 miles away) it was disgusting. They just didn't do what they were paid to do. The calls were whenever they wanted. The carers were pleasant, but incompetent. The office staff were appalling. Very rude and uncaring.

The majority of the carers are lovely but the organisational part of the business is shocking!My 87yr old Mum should have had morning calls at 8.15 am with one hour leeway either side. Several mornings a carer did not turn up at all despite us being told that Mum was the next call each time we called the office. Office staff are very patronising and really quite unpleasant when contacted because of late or no show care. They are constantly saying that in the first week or two times can be very hit and miss due to the rota already having been sorted. People that have just come out of hospital are at their most vulnerable and their care should not be ?hit and miss?, carers being three hours and more late is simply not acceptable. Medication is often time critical and when meds need to be taken with food it means care needs to be on time for that to happen.At the weekend the ?emergency? contact number was being answered by somebody that was out on care calls herself! She had no access to the system that could tell her where carers were and so could offer no assistance with finding out how long it would be before a carer turned up!The Carers (bar one) that came to Mum were lovely, they told us on one occasion that her 8.15am call was actually scheduled for 10.45am! They are constantly being contacted to add other care calls to their schedule and so it is not surprising that calls are not on time!

The carers themselves are very pleasant and obliging to my 89 yrs old mother.However the organisation is really poor with carers rarely running to the schedule provided and rarely the carer named.Many staff are disheartened with workloads beyond belief , recently calls are changed by text message without notice. Some bedtime calls scheduled as late as 2245 hrs, which for elderly people is a little concerning.Todays breakfast call was for 0700 hrs and by 0830 no one had turned up, my call to the office at 0833 asked for a return call to me with an explanation and at 1154 Im still waiting.Carers did turn up at 0840 presumably in response to my call,Would not use them if there was a credible alternative. Derby city council need to review their providers list .Since Premier took over this company have gone from reasonable to Dire.

I am a service user and retired general practitioner. At the Lichfield Branch, there seems to be a restriction in the sense that carers are either office or community based. In my experience this has led to deskilling, so may I suggest a rotation of office and community alternate weeks?

Totally enjoy working at the care co. Lovely people, great hours fair pay.The care provided is of high quality and very consistent. All new carers are fully supported whether they have had years of care experience or none at all.

Office staff are a joke lady called dawn slags staff and care works off really would like to name and shame but gose by many names last known dawn wilson phone manners are awful shes calls her self a care worker but when she worked at home from home she abused the olderly and stole from them!!!! Shouldnt be allowed to work in care

Worst company out there, never ever on time for calls that are time critical, no corespondance from company to clients if their carers are running late!! Every day and i mean everday we have had to call to see where the carers are. Call supposed to be 9 oclock its 11.10 and their still not here!! Rubbish company with no loyalty.

Unfair pay for care workers, Customers are not treated with dignity and respect. I have ZERO respect for this company at all. They shouldn?t be in the business of Caring, I wouldn?t entrust them with a dying plant.

My mum has had the best care from this company! The care staff are very attentive, well trained and a very jolly team- they are clearly happy working for this company. Highly recommend them!! Well done Mediline!
