Came this afternoon for a spot of food after buying a car from derby. Service was quick, our waitress (didn?t get her name) was brilliant, very polite nothing too much trouble. Will definitely come back when over this way

We had a meal yesterday for our son?s 8th birthday.
Absolute shockingly slow service. When asked about the kids eating for £1, the waitress added in no uncertain terms could we eat off the set menu and get the offer, but with no advice or suggestions how we could make use of the kids for £1 or use my blue light card. The food when it arrived was lovely, but the service and attitude of our waitress was absolutely shocking.
I took a cake for my little boy so we could sing happy birthday to him in which I made the waitress aware when we sat down. I gave her the cake after we had finished our meal who said she would sort it out for us. This never happened and my little boy never had his cake come to him because of the slow service. We were waiting ages.
I asked her if I could take the children?s dessert out with us because by this time we had to leave to catch a train. I asked for the children?s brownies to have to take away and was rudely told they are out of children?s brownies and all they could do was fruit or a lolly.
Shocking service & attitudes of our waitress, sad little boy on his birthday. Lovely food but the slow service & shocking attitude didn?t make an 8 year olds birthday.
My recommendation is don?t go if you are celebrating, you will be hugely let down with no acknowledgment or apology.

While visiting Derby on Vacation and wanting to meet up with some family we hadn't seen for a while we chose the Harvester due to their large varied menu and location.We had a party of 8 and were seated quickly. I didn't love the booth we were sat in as it made it difficult for some people to get up and down during our meal and would have preferred a long table but whatever.The food was good for a chain and my Fish and Chips were exactly what I expected. Service was good with no drama and while one of the Desserts was forgotten they recovered well.Total bill was 135 GBP which for 8 people is pretty decent value.This isn't fine dining by any means but for a chain is one of the better choices.

Gorgeous food and lovely friendly service. The salad bar had run low in all areas when we arrived and within a minute, it was fully restocked. Love this particular Harvester, the atmosphere is great and cosy.

My first time visiting, and the experience was awesome. Good options on the salad bar, and the unlimited soft drinks dispenser.The service from the server Harriet was amazing, and the food was tasty aswell (kudos to the chef Josh).

Brilliant from Sam the server, a great man, we need more like him. Got my lovely chicken with the milk and left satisfied with me experience. Couldn't fault the service, however a chocolate log was left for me to see in trap 2 and I didn't know what to do with the awful spectacle. Love it.

We came out for a family meal tonight and I must say the service from start to finish was excellent. Sam our server was fantastic and asked all the questions about allergens extra sides and puds. The food was cooked to perfect and Josh our chef is a credit to Harvester. Visited as a family of 8. Really lovely harvester and a really big shout of praise to Ben our table host- smashing guy- thank you for your help when paying our bill ,Ben Thank you too to Neil- you cooked my steak perfectly!
