“If you are a member this petrol station is the cheapest in Derby. There's normally a que, but please be aware the hoses on the pumps are long enough to reach to both sides of your vehicle”

“Good price and location (on my way south to A42 via historic Swarkstone bridge) & not too busy on a Sunday morning. Everything you need to avoid those motorway prices!”

“Went for the cashpoint and went inside. Unfortunately anything I'd have bought using clubland prices would've have been no use to me until I've had my spine procedureHowever with what I did buy, I was served by a very nice person. Hence the 5/5.”

“This petrol station is self-service/pay-at-pump only. The instructions on the screen are relatively simple and user-friendly. Prices are usually very competitive. Plenty of pumps available to reduce the likelihood of long queues, so it's not too busy.”

“Not much to say really, it's a petrol station but the shop is good for a garage forecourt and there's a subway, cashpoint and mac D's round the back”

“This Somerfield is located on Duffield road, on the Texaco petrol station. I have been used it so many times and I am very happy with the service. There are all essential food, chemicals, alcohols. They have very good offers. Staff is very nice and friendly. Sometimes, they make mistakes, but they are happy to correct it. No problems at all! Recommended for small shopping!”

“I had forgotten to bring tablets with me while away from home. Asda Sinfin was my nearest pharmacy. The staff couldnt have been more helpful or friendly, not sure why somebody said long waits, they were so hard, dealing with people in really good time. Thank you so much for your help.”

“Top marks! Unfortunately, I do not recall the gentleman's name, but he was friendly and extremely helpful when I realised I had forgotten my phone and was missing out of the 3x bonus point rewards. We figured out a way to secure them!”

“This is a good petrol station with multiple pumps available, along with other services. It can be quite busy, but the queues seem to move quickly. The staff are friendly and helpful and the site is kept clean and tidy.”

“A lovely, quiet and well-equipped little stopoff to recharge enroute to the Midlands. Tap & go payment made it quick and simple. Toilets on site were clean and well maintained. Waitrose shop meant I could grab something to eat and drink and take a proper break. At circa 50kW/hr, the car was charged in 30 mins. Some seats or benches would have been welcome but this place is now my default stop off”

“Staff are always friendly and helpful. Its a shame they're not 24 hrs anymore but not sure if its permanent or due to the ongoing pandemic...Fuel seems to be a little more expensive than some other places but I don't drive much so don't go very often. Know prices change all the time and im definitely no expert!!”

“Very busy petrol station for obvious reasons, great service and always really good fuel prices. However the snacks inside are no less than £2.89 and £1 for a small pack of m&ms which is an absolute joke”

“I visited the store on Christmas Eve looking for nutritional yeast ( bit of an obscure item). Not knowing where to find it I asked a young member of staff ( Toby) who was stocking shelves. I didnt think he would know what the item was but he knew straightaway and where it was likely to be.He was very polite and helpful and took me to the aisle to find it.Thank you very much Toby I was expecting to leave without the item as I could not find it. Very impressedA thankful customer”

“Great local fuel and coffee and benefits M&S food for those last-minute essentials or treats. Good parking with seven bays for those quick stops, air, water, fuel, and electric charging all on site (although don't try these if you are a long or towing vehicle).”

“I fill up my vehicle regularly from this petrol station. The air for the tyre pressure is free and so is the water. The best time to check tyre pressure is after 8pm in the evening as it is quieter. Great staff, always helpful. You got the option of paying at the pump with a credit/debit card or pay in the shop at the counter. Petrol/diesel is reasonably priced.”

“Not always the cheapest for fuel but staff are always, always friendly whatever time of day so it’s worth paying that little bit extra in my eyes. Plus you can swipe your Nectar/Sparks card here to earn loyalty points.”

“Tesco convenience store with an Esso petrol station on the same site.Tesco convenience store is small but offers all the essentials including enough ingredients to make a meal or two; however, its main strength are sweets, sandwiches, drinks etc.Seem to have a lot of products on offer and do a meal deal, there's also a Costa express machine. The petrol station has unleaded and diesel alongside air and water but no car wash.”

“Always get my fuel here, might be slightly more but I feel like you get your moneys worth when your drive everyday. Also makes it 10 times easier now that you can pay via phone. Never busy to which is a plus!”

“Had an astonishing reply to my review that helped me to decide if I'd been a little harsh with my scoring ... I was, have 4 stars. ? - I will concur a fellow reviewer and confirm that this site is good for long vehicles ?, and advise another to choose a different pump (being a biker myself) and finally ...I'll highlight the Pret a' manger, instilling that with at least 6 car parking spaces supporting this little gem of a place, groups can meet, grab refreshments & sit in a warm café to discuss their impending adventure. The site is no more than a mile from the M1 North/South J26 A610 and is accessible from both sides of the A610 which might be signposted City Centre?Have fun!”
