You are just about ok with this store as it?s physical but DON?T go to b and q online as they have a marketplace which I found out is a front for a dodgy supplier who sent broken goods. Complaining only gets you to long queues at a South African outsourced customer service set up that tells you to get in touch with the dodgy supplier and takes no responsibility at all. Wide berth recommended!! Order number 1054540046

The managers John Smith and Lee Murdock lack basic communication and conflict resolution skills. These skills are integral to a customer facing role. I think they could learn a thing or two from one of their lovely colleagues Devon (I think his name was) who demonstrated excellent soft skills! He knew how to deescalate the situation. I am also concerned that Lee TRIED to quote the consumer rights act but when challenged he could not elaborate. This should be basic knowledge for a manager. Lee Murdock picked up the paint I had bought and said ?GO AWAY?.. this was inappropriate and unprofessional.

Asian lady in the self service tills has the worst customer service I have ever had. Not just on one occasion but multiple times that I have been in. Ordering me and shouting across the tills that I am to use the other till. Tried to ask her her name but she refused. Awful staff!

Very rude staff member on the till in Derby Osmaston park branch. She did not give a polite explanation for closing self service till though there were people using the machine just before I arrived. When we asked her the reason for closing she replied in a very rude and shouting (( it doesn?t matter why it is closed))!!!! These people either have to stop working if they are not fit enough to deal with customers or they should be trained by their employer how to do so. Simply We will stop using that branch. We as customers have other options even we were customers of this specific branch for more than 12 years.

You can buy just about anything for the home at this B&Q. Had a garden centre to buy didn't visit this time. Shop was very quiet. Maybe because of school holidays. I was really able to find the items that I was looking for and paid, trouble free at self checkout.

Outstanding Customer Service from Adam at B&Q Derby
I just wanted to share how incredibly helpful and kind Adam was during our recent experience. He went above and beyond to assist us. We were looking to purchase more packs of a laminate floor that was on clearance at our local B&Q, but unfortunately, they had none left in stock.
After calling several stores and finding that prices varied due to the clearance status, we got in touch with the Derby store. Adam confirmed they had the product in stock and, without hesitation, checked with his manager Shane to see if they could match the price we originally paid. Not only did they agree, but Adam also kindly put 25 packs aside for us to collect the next day.
His professionalism, helpfulness, and willingness to go the extra mile truly stood out. Adam is a real credit to the Derby store and to B&Q overall. Thank you so much, Adam!

Lovely service from Marlon today. I stupidly didn't take a trolley in with me and was struggling carrying a 10litre tub of paint and a large plant. He took the paint from me and carried to the checkout without me even asking and then got me a trolley so I could get it to my car. He was so polite and attentive. Thank you, it was much appreciated

Brilliant store, Helpful staff, spacious unit, great garden plant section outside ?? if you're a browser then be prepared to lose all sense of time ?,
This specific store for me is and has been for for the past 26years a Go to!! Inspiring, quality products, pleasant experience, you also have a very established Burger van adjacent which is not to be shamed & also adjacent to Sainsburys it's a winner winner ?
