Chose this place from the good reviews and great menu, whilst in the area. This looks a fantastic little place, lovely decor, and very busy. Unfortunately I didn?t eat. Went to the counter, said I wanted breakfast and was pointed to a table, sat for quite a while, but no one came to take an order so I left. This place looks like it?s trying to bringing a ray of hope to Clay Cross.

A mate of mine received a notification via social media, regarding Avocado Shells at the Host coffee shop in Clay Cross. The photo looked good, and having been to Host on many occasions, it would have been rude not to head up there and try what looked great in a picture. Easy parking at the back of the premises in a free Council car park, good friendly service, and an order placed for the Avocado Shells. Let me tell you, this is one of the very best breakfast meals I've ever had. Super tasty, fresh ingredients, large serving - so much so I had to go and personally thank the chef! Do yourself a favour, and even if you only try this dish once, it is an experience worth having. It must be - I've bothered to go through all the faff of signing into my Google account to do this. Awesome job Host, and I will be back.

Popped in today (Friday 13th of June)
No bad luck here! Two of us tried the newly added smashed avocado shells with sourdough, eggs and bacon. Plus a few other subtle ingredients. It was absolutely delicious and by far the best brunch I've had in ages.
Aided by the lovely friendly staff, it's a win win.

I cannot recommend Host Coffee enough!
I had my baby shower at Host and it was the perfect venue. The staff were so accommodating and friendly and couldn?t do enough for us.
Not to mention the food!! Delicious. It was great value for money.
The staff let us decorate the venue ourselves and they were also happy for us to bring our own cake and cupcakes in.

My sister and I were recently visiting Chesterfield and, when looking for a place for breakfast, saw the excellent reviews for Host. We?re so glad we stopped in - excellent coffee, food, decor and amazing service! Everyone was so kind and also very allergen conscious (an excellent option for people with coeliacs). Would definitely visit again if in Chesterfield!

What a lovely cafe I?ve visited a few times now and the bacon sandwich is one of my favs. The staff the atmosphere lovely I would definitely recommend you to try.
