Where to start? Rather stark as you walk in, 1st time in for many years, very disappointing. No beer! Plenty of layers & cider - no beer save Guinness. Both beer & wine glasses were filthy. Hordes of toddlers left to roam the entire establishment. Will definitely not be back.

What an awful place even for just a drink can u believe the girl behind the bar changed her childs nappy on the table next to use and went back to the bar to serve drinks without washing her hands??

Absolutely love this place. Staff are brilliant and friendly. Went with friends, family and children. Great for kids as the play area outside was was perfect for them. Food I can not make one complaint about. Would highly recommend to anyone. Well done to all staff for making this a nice local pub that is kids friendly but also great adult environment.Kid-friendliness: Nice play area for kids, lots of snacks and drinks and staff really friendly with children.

No food being done. Coffee machine broken. Staff rude and unwelcoming. Dog mess all over the garden, including ON the children's play equipment. Bouncy castle absolutely filthy. Didn't feel safe to let my two year old walk around in the garden at all. Children running around the garden unattended with a dog, upon asking I found these were the landlords own children. It's a real shame it's become such a dump.Kid-friendliness: Filthy garden, good facilities but not cleaned or taken care of at all.

Popped in for a quick half a pint today, we are visiting family and fancied a walk. Pup looks really good but the woman behind the bar was not welcoming at all. She glared at my partner when we ordered a drink then tutted when we asked for some crisps. Apart from the lovely welcome the beer was nice and fresh and pub was clean.

My first ever pub as a young teen and my friends first ever drink in a pub " Carling black label " it's been over forty years since that day and the pub is still looking good inside and out. No food being done at all " a shame "

I went to see a band at the Drum and Monkey last night Saturday 29.01.23. The band were great and were really loud as usual and the pub was jumping and everyone was getting drunk and enjoying themselves. However there was a middle aged couple in there who sat near the front who had decided it was a good idea to take a young dog in with them. The band was really loud and I had to wear ear plugs so god knows how the poor dog was coping. It looked distressed at times and kept trying to hide behind its owner. I also witnessed the dogs tail getting trodden on as the crowd was jumping around and the lead singer of the band thought it was funny to scream out songs in the face of the dog. I tried to talk to the owners politely but they flatly ignored me. Totally unacceptable that the pub would allow a dog in there for a band night. I left as I was really upset for the dog.
