Title: Very Disappointed ? Serious Food Safety Issue
My 75-year-old mother has been a loyal Tesco Online (Clay Cross) customer for years, always trusting that the food delivered would be safe. Unfortunately, she recently contracted listeria despite only buying her groceries from Tesco Online. This was an incredibly distressing and worrying time for our family, especially given her age and health risks.
We have lost all confidence in Tesco?s food safety standards. It is unacceptable that something so serious could happen, and we will no longer be shopping here. I hope Tesco takes this matter seriously, investigates thoroughly, and ensures no other customer has to go through the same experience.

This Tescos is always busy with lots of local customers. It?s a big supermarket not the biggest. The best part is huge amount of parking so that?s never going to be an issue.
Does everything you would expect plus fashion, cash points, shoes, pharmacy, cafe area which is usually busy as well. It?s next door to poundland and pets at home.
Never personally had any issues when using the supermarket staff seem friendly enough and lots of them.

Really nice big Tesco, everything you need on one place really. Food, clothing, garden bits is all here. Nice spacious store also plenty of space to get around freely!! One of the bigger extras with opticians onsite also. Really heat range of products although you do find it can be more expensive than others. Nice cafe inside also it is hard to beat for having everything in one place!!

Visited today (30/05/25) and once again was shocked at the amount of fresh produce that was short dated. All pints of semi skimmed milk dated 01/06 ,majority of Coleslaw dated 02/06 , Chicken dated 01/06 and more! This has been the norm for as long as I can remember and coupled with the fact you can't get to items due to the amount of 'picker carts' in the aisles it's fast becoming a place I will no longer be using,Aldi is beckoning!

Terrible customer service, rude and aggressive deputy management to the point they scared my 2 year old child and demanded I leave the store because my son wouldn't stop crying after their staff there were screaming at us.

They have a ?new system?, so wasn?t accepting Halifax bank cards at fuel station, so I had to pay a charge, very horrible experience so I told tescos head office who didn?t care. Been shopping here since it opened? Shopping elsewhere from now on and no issues since.

In this instance hopefully only this once 1 star.
I'm a coeliac and saw that aunt Bessie's gf yorkshire pudding mix was on offer so picked a pack off the shelf. I always check the goods I choose and was horrified to find wheatflour in the ingredients so therefore was NOT the gf version. The result of a coeliac actually cooking and eating this, they could be extremely ill even hospitalised.
I pointed this out to store assistant and to her credit went and took the whole box off the shelf so thank you to that young lady.
Tesco please train your staff to be more vigilant as something like this happening could be catastrophic to a coeliac.

Today, 25th Sept 2024, I visited Clay Cross Extra Mobile Shop, to renew my mobile phone contract. I was served by two young ladies called Sophia and Laura. They were so very helpful and knowledgeable. While at the same time as being very Tech savvy, they were also very patient in explaining everything. I am very satisfied and ended up buying a new Mobile.

I was banned from making online orders by someone I do not even know Called Neil Wass a manager at Clay Cross. That is slaunder because I have always 100% been 100% polite and helpfulto their staff. I have not been able to obtain his telephone number. But this is LIABLE and Slander. I have never made any comments just taken in items and said thanks cheerio. I will be taking this to court and Mr Wass can expect legal action and costs for his slander.
