Didn't stay in a room hence the 1 star.
Visited here on a day out.
Fast table service. Good atmosphere.
First 'Spoons I've visited where you go downstairs for the loos rather than up.
No food order this time, but maybe next.
Would recommend on price alone.

Breakfast was really nice. After working all night we are all hungry. The breakfast was prepared fresh. You can have an unlimited hot drinks.

First time in that bar.Lovely,friendly staff.Toilets were very clean compares to most other wetherspoon pubs.Great beer prices compares to other local pubs.

Food and drinks: Cheap food and drinks, without compromising on quality!

Food service was very slow, the barmaid got our drinks wrong twice and blamed us despite our emails proving it was her, not our order that was wrong.
The disabled toilet is disgusting. Not only does it smell of urine, it had a puddle around the toilet, the toilet itself has a broken flush handle and the toilet door is hard to lock and unlock. This is a disabled facility, you are supposed to make my life easier, not harder.

I work away 3 days a week. Always spend my evenings in Spoons all over the country. Rotherham and Durham this week. Have been to 100s with very few bad experiences. Except here. On occasion you order food (or a drink) on app and they have run out. Obviously you have pre paid in good faith based on the item being shown as available. 99 times out of 100 they come to your table, apologise, and ask what you would like as a substitute with no caveats. At the end of the day the item was not marked by the pub as unavailable. Not here. I substituted in a dish of roughly equivalent value. They wanted me to stump up the
difference of £1 even though I had pre paid in good faith. This has never happened before. Received conflicting info from staff about the order as well as attitude. Took a refund on the dish, walked out and wont return. This is also a Spoons with rooms I have been considering using on a regular basis. Ibis here I come!
Just unfathomably poor customer service descision. Its common knowledge if you have a bad experience you tell 10 people, if you have a positive experience you tell 1 person.
