Adequate and reasonable value for money.Great location for easy access to the town plus on-site-parking available.Rooms: Basic accommodation but pretty comfortable and reasonable value for money although the bed was below par compared to other hotels of a similar price range.

Average stay, ok roomBut could do with a lot of TLCWasn't in the room for long as my event ran late, but not sure the heating worked, neither did the bathroom extractorCleaning ...same average they could do better, change old rusty things that are replaceable, they can be an eyesore to many.Nearby activities: Also close to a big mall which is great but access to the mall on foot is an interesting walkWalkability: Near the train station, that's a plus!

The room and en-suite bathroom was clean and tidy. We slept well on the comfortable bed.The staff were nice, helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is a little tired and could do with refurbishment. We pointed out some items in our room that needed attention and management confirmed maintenance would act on them.Rooms: Grande Salle familiale

Mixed feelings about this hotel..room was filthy upon check in... 3 days with the room uncleaned even if I was asking for it.. some of the male receptionists are very rude and not helpful, but 2 of the ladies are some of the most amazing ever. Helped me out with fresh towels and a handful of tea bags and chocolate to apologise, even if the mistake wasn't theirs..

VERY disappointed I have previously stayed at the premier inn in chesterfield and the quality cleanliness and price was much better. IBIS must stand for ibismal (abysmal)The room was filthy. Very dusty. Stains on the seats. Hole in the shower wall.Rooms: Very dirty. A mess. Too expensive

I needed a hotel that was cheap, near to Chesterfield town centre and east to walk to from the railway station and this hotel ticked all the boxes. Before you read my review I need to say it was ok and I would stop here again tbh it was just not what I?m used to. Im used to stoping in Travleodge and Premier Inns. When I opened the door to my room it was like travelling back in time to the 80?s, not seen a chain hotel like this before with lots of mismatched furniture. No USB sockets anywhere, No mains sockets next to the bed, the hairdryer was attached to the wall and didn?t work. The heater didn?t work, the taps you had to turn many times before water would come out.The lighting in the room was terrible, Carpets are dark brown and lots of dust in the corners. The lift was the slowest lift I?ve ever been in, don?t use the lift if you?re in a rush LOL.Despite it being located right next to a very large busy roundabout the rooms was actually quiet and I had two good nights sleep as it has triple glazing. It had free car parking which is handy if you?ve arrived by car.The major issue I had was getting to and from the hotel from town involves crossing a very busy road and there are no crossings of any kind (see my photos), its absolutely lethal as you can?t see the traffic as its around a bed so you just have to run. So if you?re infirm, then it?s not great.Good points Free fast wifi, works perfectly with Facetime.Like I said despite all its shortcomings I would stop there again as it was cheap and handy for what I needed.

Buy new beds as its impossible to sleep on a bed with a 2" mattress with a 1" topper.

Booked a double room for 2 nights while visiting family, the room was very basic but clean and tidy, tea and coffee facilities provided in the room plus TV, there was also onsuite facilities with a decent size shower and nice hot water, the only complaint we had was the very hard mattress and my wife woke up with backache every morning but it was only for two nights so we managed, the location was ideal for all the town centre shopping and also queen's Park was only a short walk. Can recommend this hotel.

Got a twin room with breakfast for £60.Amazing value!Check in was easy, staff were polite. The room was decent and clean.Breakfast the following morning was reasonable. For the cost I thought it was really good and would happily stay again.Only gripe was fire alarm went off about midnight. Turns out somebody had showered and left door open which caused steam to set off alarm. That needs to be rectified somehow .

This hotel was well located to the venue we were attending. The hotel was not great, room was dingy and very tired looking. Lighting was really bad. For instance, there was a hairdryer by a long mirror but no light above it. A dressing table without a lamp or light above it. Room was so hot when we got back at the end of the night and it was a storage heater in the room, so no heating control on the wall. We did not even think about it checking this as they are normally on minimum, well it was like a sauna when we got back to the room, we found the heating control, switched it off and slept with the window open all night - certainly cooled the room down and this was in January! At least we were comfortable and there was not too much noise from outside. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the complimentary coffee from their machine in reception was a bonus. Would we stay there again - no, we would not!

Although the hotel is in a central position it's very dangerous trying to cross the roads on foot, no pedestrian lights on any of the surrounding roads, for which I blame the council they must be gormless, to think that's acceptable! Obviously not a very environmental friendly council and hate non car drivers. My room was clean and tidy and well stocked with everything I needed, the only negative was the noise from overlooking the roundabout, when I had asked in advance for a quiet room. The breakfast didn't have a vegetarian option apart from wheat based cereals and muffins. Rice crispies could be an option (not cocopops for adults) or rice pudding and pancakes for vegetarians, for £12 for a breakfast deal which my sister paid for 2 x 3 days non refundable and 2 of those days couldn't eat what was on offer after trying the 1st day, something of a rip off! , other options desperately needed. Other than that the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
