Far to expensive for what food you get. £17 for a burger is scandalous. No side salad, garnish or anything

The food was delicious. Our visit was let down by our main waitress being condescending and arrogant. The ambience was a little lacklustre, possibly because of this. A very surprising and disappointing approach to customer service.

If there was a way to give this ?experience? zero stars then I would.
I?ll start by saying we have visited bottle & thyme many many times at their old location, and several times since they moved, and whilst we feel service has gotten worse since moving it has never been as bad as today.
The atmosphere at the previous venue was miles better, it felt more intimate and the staff seemed more attentive, it felt like a dining venue where you were valued and received attention, this has definitely declined in the new premises, the capacity has increased significantly, however with this none of the service feels personal and the venue itself now is noisy and more akin to a fast food outlet, especially on a Saturday.
We arrived at 1145 looking forward to making breakfast, we hadn?t booked in advance but there were tables available. The place was busy, but not full. We were greeted and asked to wait a few minutes whilst a table was cleared, this was sadly the highlight of our visit?.
We were seated and after around 5 minutes another couple sat at the table next to us, after a further 5 more minutes a waitress came to take their drinks order, whilst walking straight past us. I tried to get the attention of one of the other servers, one smiled and acknowledged me, then promptly never came, after a few more minutes the original server came and took our drinks order?. 25 minutes later the drinks arrived, the server took the food order of the table next to us then ours straight after, about 10 minutes later their food was delivered, by now our drinks were long since finished?. After 10 minutes still no sign of our food?. fast forward to almost an hour and a half since arriving?. server approaches the table to tell us that the order hadn?t been sent to the kitchen?? almost an hour and a half sat waiting without any attention from any of the staff working there, what a waste of our time, underlined with a half arsed apology and not to pay for the drinks we finished over an hour earlier.
Dismal service, as could be noted by the amount of people who had given up on waiting to pay their bills at their tables.
Midweek is a much better experience, but even then the service is a massive downgrade from the previous venue. Whilst the food is pretty great the value isn?t there any longer, as I said above this is no longer an intimate experience where servers give you their attention and a quality service, it?s maximised customer capacity whilst diminishing the quality of service, and asking the same price.
Disappointing to say the least, leaving after wasting almost an hour and half of our day sat being largely ignored and without being fed.

Went for a surprise 60th birthday party on a Friday night. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff couldn?t do enough for us. The food was nicely presented and plenty to go around. Special shout to Liam. He took the time to recommend different cocktails according to our tastes and was polite and talkative when serving us. He also interacted the whole group and talked the group through how to take a tequila shot which was a new experience for us all and made a great video. Liam also helped us take photos and set up our projector by turning down the music so that we could hear our video. Overall he was the star of the night and we are very thankful for his service.

We were looking forward to dining at the new venue.
First of all may I say the food was very good.
The front of house welcome and service was excellent.
Unfortunately we had to wait 55 minutes for our "brunch" order to arrive.
Now, we understand everything is cooked fresh.
However, to sit for nearly an hour waiting for food is too long.
Every table around us were also waiting the same amount of time.
We visited, planning to "call in" during midweek lunch breaks from work.
Unfortunately, we won't be doing so in the future.
We have decided to take our custom elsewhere and support other local businesses, which is a shame.
Not the review I had hoped to give, but an honest review from me.

Loved the old Bottle and Thyme, never had a bad experience so was very excited to try the new gaff, lovely atmosphere, warm, welcoming staff and great service, food was delicious however?. The small plates are very small with very small amounts of food and are extremely pricey.
Rather dissapointed.
Think the evening menu needs revising with a little more choice

It?s a shame they have opened a bigger place without considering needing to cater for more people. Although the food was at a great standard, we waited 50 minutes after ordering for the food. Being told, sorry we are busy doesn?t really cut it for brunch spot on a Saturday morning, they should know they will be busy and make it work. Probably won?t bother going again now, shame as the food is good. Ruined the experience and we were not the only ones left waiting.

The new restaurant is lovely however as they were so busy service was very slow, my scrambled eggs were cold and the portion was small. Hopefully it?s just teething problems and they will be back up standard soon.

Best restaurant in Chestfield.
Food here won't let you down.
The coffee is good.
The breakfast is really delicious.
Dinner is a bit pricey but it's good food.
Try to order three dishes deal for £18.
Then add others will be better.
We really enjoy the food here.
If you are coming for the dinner, try to make the reservation before you come on Friday evening to Sunday lunch.
