The ridiculous new phone service where you have to keep pressing the keypad while on hold or they cut you off makes it impossible to use while driving to an appointment.

I have been with Barlborough medical practice for almost fourteen years,I cannot praise this practice enough. The last year for me hasn't been my best,but what I can say is Dr Inka is an incredible doctor and will do her best by you...so is Dr heywood and Dr Gardener and finally Dr palmer. I would also like to praise and thank nurse Julie an amazing human.

I recently joined the surgery and the initial service with a receptionist was difficult. I contacted them because I was new and wanted to see a doctor for a medication review which she booked me in for a telephone consultation for the following week. So on the day/time of the review I waited and waited, but nobody rang so I rang them. After an hour trying to ring I gave up.An hour at position 3 with no answer?.My second experience ~ I rang to make an appointment to see a doctor and was told that I was triaged to see a nurse practitioner at another site and an appointment was made for the following week. On the day of the appointment I arrived on time to be told by the receptionist that an error had been made and the appointment was in actual fact at another site which was miles away from my home and that I would have to make another appointment. I contacted my surgery again to find out what had happened and the receptionist admitted human error and tried to book me in again. She offered me another appointment which was two weeks later. At this point I was completely disillusioned and in a lot of pain! I explained that I couldn?t wait another 2 weeks and she said she would phone me back. She duly phoned me back 5 minutes later and surprise, surprise got me an appointment within the next 15 minutes. I arrived at the surgery to be greeted by 3 receptionists and a completely empty surgery. I saw the doctor more or less straightaway and left with a prescription - still nobody else in the surgery?.My third experience? I emailed the surgery to book in for my usual flu and covid vaccinations - no response? So I rang (yet again, number 3 in the queue and a long wait) eventually got an appointment for the following week.Later the same day a receptionist rang and told me that I could no longer have the appointment because the doctor had decided I didn?t have a clinical need for them, bearing in mind my previous doctors thought I had?.This practice is extremely poor and has a total lack of patient care and I would recommend that anyone thinking of joining them to think twice!Is there any wonder why people go to A&E !!!

Been on the phone to order my medication for over 30mins, 3 different times on 2 phones.Reception are rude or just put the phone down straight away before even saying hello.Can?t even be bothered to give me options or access to treatment (I have C-PTSD, was told all I can have is what has already been offered, nothing else, even though I have documentation saying I need different treatment).The disability access is awful. I?m told to just sign up with another practice, this would restart all of my waiting lists again.Absolutely no care given!

Recently joined the surgery and the initial service was appalling with receptionists failing to acknowledge the presence of patients waiting . I have been trying to ring for the past 1hr 10 mins today and on hold since position 10 and the phone is ringing for the past 10 mins from position 3 with no answer .I am a healthcare professional myself , I would like this surgery to be investigated for complete lack of patient care . I am currently pregnant and wanting to get a prescription request from a Dr as per hospital referral but you have people like this not interested in the career path they choose for themselves. CQC and ombudsman will be informed formally of such poor practice .

You can never ever get an appointment, and are forced to join a queue on the phone from 8am to try ! they tell you they are so incredibly busy and booked up with appointments, that they will have to send you to Ashgate Hub which is miles away !Yet whenever I have been to the practice at various times of the day, I have never seen another patient in the very large waiting room, it?s always totally empty !!! ?What an easy life they must have not having to bother seeing patients and closing at 4pm 2 of the 5 days they open

I have recently joined this surgery from moving from Manchester , from day one the staff at the practice ( receptionists, nurses and doctors) have been so helpful and efficient there is nothing to much trouble for them , I am utterly amazed at how different things are here compared to my previous surgery and felt compelled to praise staff that are sometimes all to little forgotten!! 10/10 guys
