Bought two of acoustic panels to recieve both of them damaged due to way they got delivered by thrown over gate. Complained and received two more also recieved damaged and this way basically due to way they was transported them because we was in that time. Emailed about this situation again to recieve an email back saying that this can often happen due to how heavy and expensive they are to ship??? I had to laugh as no one should ever recieve there goods damaged. Think you need to look into the delivery and package section with in the business to avoid this as I find this unacceptable

You can do it if you B&Q it (as the advert goes...) and this is your usual, large B&Q there to meet all your DIY needs.

This B and Q has been her for many years and is situated on a business park as you come into Chesterfield from the M1. Lots of parking with a trade entrance as well. Huge amount of brands and services as you would expect. Lots of staff and have always been very accommodating when I needed assistance in finding something or needing advice. The tills can get busy but never a long wait. Easy access for getting large items to your car. Great spot for any diy enthusiasts

Often call in here to pick up stuff, and I've just recently bought a Stanley knife and blades (30/12/24). The lady at the self service was helpful in confirming they were the right blades and then politely and professionally IDed me to make sure I was over 25. My ID was checked with a lens thing (I suppose to make sure the hologram is real) and my DOB was checked verbally.
All of these things help keep knives off the streets, and it was all done in a way that was professional and polite.
I've also never had any problems returning stuff here.

Went to trade point desk with my plywood cutting sheet as I now have a card for business and wasn?t sure if process was different to the many times I?ve used before as a general customer . Guy with a Scottish accent told me ?we don?t cut to order only to fit stuff in your
car ?.
I went to cutting area to check for myself and there were people having cuts done so I got my two sheets of Ply and had cuts done (7 ) by Helen who was 5 star helpful .

We were here for the first time, but immediately bought everything we needed. My husband is a builder and it is important for him to find all the necessary materials in one place. Of course, the material and choice in Ukraine and England are very different, but it was in this store that we found everything we needed. The prices are affordable, wonderful assistants that will help in the choice.

Spoke twice with Mark on separate occasions and he was very helpful. However the lady on checkouts seemed to have an attitude and was reluctant to give a refund on a sample tile that B & Q no longer stock, but are still selling samples for. Her manner to me was not pleasant and she seemed to want to query my request, to me it was after of principal and not for her to judge.

Visited on a Saturday lunch time and the store was busy as expected. I note B&Q still insist on making people use the self service tills. It used to be an option wether you used it or not but by virtue of the fact there was only one till that was actually manned by a human being open, there was a wait of over 10 minutes in the queues and both queues were well down the isles. What made it worse was the single cashier was having to go from her till over to the self service ones and enter passwords after checking that age restricted products were being purchased by people of an appropriate age!!!! Come on B&Q. How?s about employing actual staff to work on the tills. I?m sure the queues wouldn?t be half as long. Things were taking so much longer because the general public are not trained to work a till!!! N
