The DB&B package is great for a short stay. Rooms are lovely, spa facility excellent and dinner (always good) was a couple of notches up on this latest visit. BC just can't get the bar right though. The space isn't great. Over the years of visiting, we have suffered slovenly staff who can't be bothered to clear tables. This visit the bar staff were pleasant but clueless. The bar wasn't busy. We ordered a bottle of fizz (which wasn't behind the bar) and the staff went off to fetch it. At this point, we should have been invited to take a seat and told that the bottle would be brought over. We were left standing at the bar. Bottle arrived, asked if we wanted it in an ice bucket (of course). Bucket and bottle handed over with 2 economy stems. Left to open the bottle ourselves. Please get the bar staff trained and purchase some half decent stemware.

This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Luxurious rooms with outstanding service and a wide range of top quality food for breakfast.

Lovely stay, thank you. Floating in the outdoor pool while snow fell around us, was a wonderful experience!

Unfortunately the initial room we were assigned had an awful smell in it, a disappointing start to our stay. This was rectified by reception without fuss. We enjoyed the rest of our visit.

We stayed at the Crescent for a midweek treat. The room was very comfortable and had wonderful views over the pump room and the slopes beyond. I went for an early morning outdoor swim on our checkout day and had the pool to myself, followed by a buffet breakfast. We left rested and feeling like we?d had a longer break.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. Breakfast is very good and dinner in the restaurant is gradually improving, although it still hasn?t reached the ?fine dining? category. The Attic room, albeit small, was comfortable and the shower was excellent. The spa is also great.Rooms: Well appointed rooms, comfortable beds and a great shower.Food & drinks: Great breakfast. Dinner in the restaurant is good, but perhaps should be better for a hotel of this standard.

I recently booked a wellness spa day for myself and my sister as a surprise after her hen do weekend. Unfortunately the morning of the booking I had issues with my car which meant we arrived later than planned which meant a good few hours of relaxing had been lost. After arriving rather stressed and flustered the lady on reception was extremely understanding and showed us to our lockers, she later returned to say that our stay had been extended for us which was a lovely gesture and meant a lot to all of us.The 2 course lunch we had in the spa café was delicious! and the treatment was just what we needed, by far the best deep tissue massage i have ever experienced and felt well and truly relaxed. All in all the facility was extremely clean and all the staff we encountered on our visit went above and beyond and were so helpful. The building is stunning and the roof top pool is such a nice feature.I have already told all my friends and family they must come and visit! and already looking at returning for my birthday!

The service was so terrible it really let the quality of the food down.We were seated, and someone came over but then forgot about us. I went looking for a member of staff, found someone and then another 5 minutes later a different person came over to ask what we needed.(Bear in mind we had pre booked the afternoon tea.)To get the 'bottomless tea' we had to go and find someone, wandering around through different rooms again.I then later got up (still no one had come) to find the toilets and came across a staff member who said "someone *is* coming" meaning I had to explain I was going to the toilet. At the end we had to go wandering again to find someone so we could pay. After we paid, and we left there was still not a soul in sight, anyone could just walk out without paying.Absolutely bizarre service, can't remember anywhere quite so disorganised and empty. Not even an apology, just "oh I thought someone had already done it" from Maddie. Terrible shame.

Overpriced room that was already showing some signs of wear and tear despite being a relatively new hotel. The room was an attic room and was extremely small for a double. There's a distinct danger of banging your head when getting out of bed at night as it's located in the window alcove with very little space between the bed and the sloping roof section. The food in the restaurant was excellent both for dinner and breakfast although the dinner was overpriced for what it was. Having to pay extra for a few side vegetables was unexpected. The wine selection was disappointing with many very young wines which weren't very good. The Chateau Musar is a wine I'm very familiar with and it was not up to standard, I almost sent it back but others on the table were prepared to drink it. There was no decanter available which is something that any decent hotel would most certainly have. The staff at reception, in the bar and in the restaurant were all very well trained. They were polite, professional and efficient. They should be commended.Rooms: Overpriced room that was already showing some signs of wear and tear despite being a relatively new hotel. Amazing place to spend a weekend relaxing, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

The most wonderful place to come to and relax in the lovely spa. We've both had massages and a facial. Gorgeous Italian products were used all adding to the luxury of the hotel. The refurbishment may have cost millions and zillions but my golly it was worth preserving this magnificent building.
