Eat here at your peril! You know this is going to be budget before you visit but quite frankly the worst budget meal I've ever been served. Ordered a steak, when it arrived it was so rare there was blood on it and it was so tough it was inedible. Sent it back explained the situation, sarcastic comment from the person who cooked it who then cooked it a bit more instead of offering a fresh one and it came back still bloody and tough! Spoke to the manager who refused to do anything about it, said it had been replaced when it hadn't and just carried on loading the dishwasher.
Left the pub hungry and very cross. Contacted Wetherspoons customer service who told me complaints are dealt with at pub level.....it wasn't
So despite eating here before a couple of times and it being ok, will not visit again. We all know mistakes happen, it's how they dealt with that makes a difference and the male manager here is appalling, zero customer satisfaction.
Stick to the cheap drinks....it's more reliable

Visited this Wetherspoons on Thursday 21st Nov for some food, we food was usual Wetherspoons standard but the service was absolutely shocking. At 20:30 the manager instructed his staff staff to bring all the furniture from outside into the area on the left hand side of the pub. The temperature outside was -3 degrees and the manager opened the double doors where we were eating, I asked the manager politely if he would close the doors as it was extremely cold. He refused and said he had put the heating on. I asked the manager to manage the situation and he replied I'm not dealing with this, if you don't like it complain to head office and then told me to finish my drink and leave.
This manager is clearly not in the right industry and head office need to put him on a training course or suggest he finds a new career path. Needless to say I will not be returning

Not dog friendly-no dogs allowed inside or OUTSIDE. Never came across this before,I understand inside,but outside a pub no dogs allowed. We visited the castle,and wanted a drink and food after. But signs plastered outside (no dogs allowed externally) such a shame.. Pub down the road allows dogs..

mashed potatoes were cold on one meal and only small amount of gravy. told by waitress that was portion. Had to pay extra for a bit more gravy
