Booked a table for 2pm on a Sunday just kept asking do you want drinks didn't get our meal while 3-30 if we hadn't been with other friends we would have walked out

We came here a few weeks ago and everything was lovely! Staff very friendly. Food was amazing, good portion and tasted lovely and fresh. We were told food may take a little longer as everything is fresh, so it was good to be warned however I?ve waited much longer for food elsewhere. Will definitely be coming again!

Booked a table for 3:30pm, 2 adults & 2 toddlers after a long drive from Scotland was really looking forward to trying this restaurant after hearing good things from family members.
On arrival restaurant looked lovely however our experiencing from entering the restaurant went downhill rapidly.
Walked in, no one acknowledged us, older women & younger girl continued conversation didn?t even bother to direct us to anyone else. We walked around to the bar area where there was a young male who took our name and pointed to the table we was on then brought us some high chairs over.
Table definitely hadn?t been cleaned was all sticky. It took over 10 minutes to ask us for drinks bear in mind there was hardly anyone in the restaurant, drinks arrived a short while after & was advised they had run out of orange juice. We said that?s fine just cordial then to which we never received.
We then asked for menus as we still had not been given any, then got told someone else would bring menus as he didn?t know what menu to bring us ????? I?m assuming he was new so we said that?s fine don?t worry. After another long wait a female came to bring the menus then proceeded to tell us there would be a delay on food due to the kitchen staff dropping plate and parts gone into the veg. At this point we gave up, I think this restaurant is poorly run the 2 waitresses had no clue what was going on or what to do first.
Very disappointing, left starving complete waste of time would not visit again or recommend.

First time for Sunday lunch, a big table in so a little bit of a wait,but we?ll worth it the best Sunday dinner we?ve ever had,the beef was cooked to perfection and just melted,not the 2 tiny slices at most chains you get. Creamy mash parsnips cauliflower gorgeous roast potatoes red cabbage,carrots, broccoli.and a yorkshire pudding that would have done two.everything perfect and hot.our other meal was pork and again cooked to perfection, all served in a relaxed no rush take your time and enjoy Atmosphere 5?? plus.

Arrived to find that they had no booking for us. Turns out they had us booked in for a different date. No matter, we had to wait a while but they did manage to fit us in.
The food was fantastic, brilliant service and definitely worth the wait.
Would recommend this restaurant.

Lovely friendly welcome from Sim & Nic. Couldn?t have been more helpful. We had dinner (Sat) & breakfast (Sun) & both were really good. It was fairly quiet so we had chance to chat with the staff (Ellie was lovely & a proper star). They cook everything from scratch & can make most things gluten free or vegetarian. Some work going on to smarten up the outside areas, but the beer garden was still nice for a drink.

13 of us called for my mum and dad's 65th Wedding Anniversary for the pie and the pint night which they love the service was brilliant made the table look lovely with the decorations I took up and made us feel so welcome lovely night ?

Table booked for 6.30 on a Saturday night, empty car park and only 2 tables of 4 the rest were empty. Pleasant greeting from staff but failed to tell us what was not on menu. Entrance in need of tad restaurant a tad grubby, cobwebs etc especially round window. Ordered starters £8 each and fillet steak £32 each for the two of us and were shocked for waitress to return and tell us there was no fillet steak! 6.30 on a Saturday night and no fillet steak!! No wonder the place is empty! The atmosphere was poor, the room lacked inspiration, dark dresser and dismal nothing like the expectations in its name. Very very disappointed. We left and ate elsewhere. With drinks we would have spent well over £100. Endung up elsewhere having an absolutely stunning meal in an amazing place which were also cheaper all round. Very disappointing experience

We got the whole family together for Sunday lunch, 20 of us in total. The food was delicious, all cooked fresh and out at the same time. We hadn't been before, but will definitely be back.

We had a great afternoon at The Restaurant at Renishaw, food was absolutely lovely and the service brilliant. There were 19 of us for Sunday Lunch and it was superb.
