Avoid the lasagne ready meal, it was dry and tasteless.Bird's-eye frozen ones are just as good.Very disappointed.

Thank you Ed for the most superb fore rib of beef, it cooked beautifully and tasted marvellous. Couldn't have asked for better to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary. you have restored our faith in roast beef - it is as good as we recall!!

Excellent butcher with superb quality meat. Superb shopping experience for the meat eater though they do a very nice vegan roll!We love the pies! We've enjoyed their steak and kidney pies - delicious short crust pastry with plenty of tender tasty meat and kidney inside.

All our meat is local – either from animals we have raised on our own farm, or from a farmer we know well in the Bakewell area. We also use a local abattoir – to reduce stress on the animals and to keep food miles to a minimum.
We are passionate about what we do and committed to meeting top-class standards in every aspect of what we do. In the way we look after our animals, how we hang our meat, in the skills we bring to our butchery and bakery, and in the service we provide to customers.
