Amazing customer service from this shop in Bakewell. Served by Will and the other staff. Very knowledgeable as the staff have lots of experience, out walking in the Peak District. Definitely one of the best shops in Bakewell. Highly recommended.

Came in today to find some new walking boots. I was served by Victoria who was absolutely amazing, she found the perfect shoes for my feet and was straight to the point. I didn?t feel pushed to buy anything, and she was so patient. I couldn?t have asked for a better experience. Thank you Victoria!

I've been a serious walker for more than 40 years and been very happy with 'economy' boots from industrial suppliers, Lidl or Aldi. (Mainly because it's not a lot of money to risk if they turn out to be unsuitable). More recently I've been getting the odd 'twinge' in my feet, so thought it was time to invest in a better quality boot. However, it wasn't easy for me to even contemplate spending 10x more to get them. I noticed Cotswold Outdoor (Bakewell) offered a fitting service and booked myself an appointment today. I was given undivided attention by staff member Victoria, who patiently offered advice, measured and assessed my feet aided by a computerised machine. She spent well over an hour helping me decided the best boots to consider. There was no sales pressure; just genuine and well informed advice. I am now the happy owner of a 'proper' pair of extremely comfortable walking boots! Thank you!

Went to get a new pair of walking boots . As i have very wide feet and a high arch it?s always difficult to find choice .I was served by Charlie . He scanned my feet , showed me plenty of choice , advised me on insoles and showed me other ways to tie my boots that may help .Excellent service . It is nice to find someone with a smile on his face who?s happy to spend the time with a customer .Philippa was also very pleasant and helpful .

We visited, looking for some women's boots. What a great experience. The member of staff suggested we get our feet measured. They have a gadget which scans your feet and gives a 3D scan. Then suggest the boots and fitting. We must have spent over an hour trying boots, till we found something comfortable. Great job ?

We visited the store today, for my partner to buy some new walking boots for the ultra challenge.The lady in the store was so helpful, polite and patient, she went above and beyond to help him.He had tried boots and shoes on at other shops but didn't feel like any of them were right until today, the lady measured his feet, explained the difference with both and what size would be best for him and if he needed insoles. The whole service was outstanding we felt very at ease and went away with his new boots.Can't thank the lady enough she was excellent.

Extremely friendly, helpful and professional service. We had absolutely no problem getting a refund for a pair of shoes when we had found something better at a rival shop. Their range is not so big but the staff make up for it with the level of service and advice.

I had occasion to visit the Bakewell Cotswold Outdoor store today and received what I can only describe as outstanding customer service from the store manager, Alan, and his colleague, Zoe. Both Alan and Zoe were incredibly helpful and I left with just what I wanted, despite not being sure what I wanted when I arrived at the store! Thank you both for a very pleasant customer experience that I hope to repeat soon.
