I arrived at a very busy time and had to wait quite a while, however this gave me an opportunity to browse the full range. I went to Ashbourne after being disappointed with the service in Derby. I was given time to decide and advised in a very professional manner. This was important, as a pair of glasses costing over £450 have to be right as they will be worn 18 hrs a day 7 days a week for a number of years. People buy from people not companies!

The optician,Estelle, was thorough and polite but more importantly thoroughly professional and referred me immediately she saw me last year to Derby Royal Infirmary for treatment. My latest visit was equally thorough.

My wife attended for routine eyesight test which was done with the utmost efficiency. Needing new glasses she was dealt with by Julie. She could not have been more helpful, guiding her through the buying process effortlessly and with great skill and understanding. Would highly recommend.

Had a routine eye examination at uttoxeter, staff very good and professional. Needing a new pair of distance glasses for work and general use was then told that vision express no longer do glass lenses .Having tried plastic lenses in the past ,these are not practical for my work in the construction industry .They scratch very bad!. Also Needing new reading glasses which are fine in plastic,was told they do not do them in the strength of my prescription . It seems that the new supplier's only want to do Basic lenses. I suppose it could be blamed on covid or Brexit.

I went to Vision Express for my regular two yearly eye test and ordered new glasses. I always find both the staff in the support roles and the opticians in this shop very helpful. There is no hard sell, just good information on the frames, lenses and insurance cover options. This time I was reassured that my eyesight is as one would expect at my age, so although it needs more help, there is nothing to worry about. They even found the best options on frames as my favourite Jaeger style is no longer available. Great service.

Vision express in Ashbourne is far and away the best opticians around. All of the staff are very professional and welcoming. Estelle is an absolute star, so professional and thorough, putting you at ease and always happy, lovely lady.
