Rooms: Rooms are ok, it's a little dated, but stuff are well aware and try to make the best of it. Very friendly staff.Safety: Van on the carpark no issue, doors are card entry only. (Some times don't work) over okFood & drinks: The pub next door is expensive for what you get. There's not a great deal around. If you stop, I would recommend the crown fish and chip shop. Lovely place good price and portions

Great Travelodge. Clean and comfortable and very convenient for local facilities. There's a pub next door (The Stepping Stones) for dinner or a bit further afield in Mayfield (The Royal Oak) or a few in Ashbourne town centre. The closest place for cooked breakfast is either Ashbourne town centre or on an out of town shopping centre M&S (only breakfast sandwiches). Otherwise Travelodge offer a bag to go or you can get something from Aldi next door.Ashbourne Town centre is a little bit of a walk or just a few minutes in the car. It's a pretty town and ideal for he start of the Tissington trail for walking on cycling. There's a variety of shops & cafes and a 2 mile town trail.

It's a Travelodge. Basic and functional. However, WiFi is not free ??, no bath mat and bath was a bit narrow to shower comfortably standing up. Could do with a heated mirror in the bathroom and more sockets in the room.

Stayed here for Alton Towers which is only 15 minutes by car. There is a pub next door and an Aldi which is handy for getting a few bits.Rooms are basic. It would be nice to have a few more sockets for charging. The bath shape is sloped so it does make it very slippery when in the shower so do take extra care. Otherwise a good stay.
