Went into Ashbourne to find somewhere for lunch. We walked past Cheddar Gorge and were instantly drawn in!
Everything you could want in a deli! Huge selection of different cheeses, sauces, relish, homemade pastries and a plethora of cakes!
My husband went for the New York Deli sandwich and was blown away. Pastrami, sauerkraut, gherkins, rocket and soft bread. Photo doesn?t do it justice as he wanted to delve in straight away.
We will definitely return the next time we?re in Ashbourne!

I went to the cheddar gorge to get some rum truffles for a Christmas present and on arrival I was met with it not arrived in store even after pre ordering online to secure my product leaving me with only 3 days to sort something out. Shop elsewhere.

Deli sandwiches are ENORMOUS and more importantly very tasty. Amazing variety and value for money.

Since discovering Derbyshire Oatcakes on a holiday in the area recently, I needed to find a mail order source as they are so delicious, so versatile and a lower wheat option to other wrap type products. Cheddar Gorge in Ashbourne was the best option, the website is a little clunky but there?s only a small range to navigate around so not a problem. A delivery date was chosen as part of the checking out process and 6 packs of oatcakes arrived, very well packed. Fabulous service, highly recommended for unusual local cheeses too.

The cakes looked so good from the window. Went in and asked for cornflake slice and a frangipani. The young man didn?t listen to me because when I got home there was no cornflakes slice. So disappointed.

Amazing cheeses and baked goods. Staff are great. My partner loves the savoury pastries. Can't recommend it enough.
