Thorntons is a British chocolate brand established by Joseph William Thornton in 1911. Thorntons Limited has been owned by Italian company Ferrero SpA since 2015. It all started back in 1911 when travelling confectioner, Joseph William Thornton, opened up a sweet shop in Sheffield.
