I'm interested in a VW camper van. Unfortunately, Walkingshaw don't sell these but they kindly told me about another dealership where they hoped I would find what I was looking for. The nearest dealership for campers is at Newcastle.

Writing review on behalf of my husband. We travelled 3 hours to look at and purchase VW Sharan. Our salesman Paul S made us feel very welcome. He answered all our queries and when there was a minor issue with car, got it sorted promptly. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend this dealership.

Despite the long wait which is no fault of Walkingshaw as VW suffered from factory delays, the car arrived and handover was smooth and quick. Customer service was brilliant, regular updates and transparent. Staff are very friendly and willing to explain any queries you may have and very easy to get in touch with.I would recommend Walkingshaw for both customer services and car dealerships. They take it all very seriously and are a delight to work with.

Very good experience buying my new Polo from Walkingshaw. Very friendly and knowledgable staff and a very smooth, transparent buying process. I never felt pressured into buying anything I didn't want, which has not always been the case when I've bought cars elsewhere.

This is a revised review following a reply from the owner of the company trying to defend what was very poor customer service.would a phone call not have been common courtesy before you sold the part to someone else? , rather than wait for someone to make the journey to your business only to be told they had sold the item? If someone ordered a car would you sell it to someone else if they didn?t arrive on your given time slot or would you call them and ask if everything was ok and when would they be collecting the car?If this episode is anything to go by you would just sell the car without calling them, would that be good customer service?

Brilliant customer service great peace of mind I didn't get a the most expensive car or even close to new but they looked after me and made sure the car was 100% before I tuck it away. It came with 2 year full warranty even tho it was 7 year old.

It will be a 5 STAR once I've managed to go out for a test drive.Handing over more than 20 thousand without a good test drive won't happen.I'm hoping I will be allowed a good 24 hrs so I know exactly what I'm getting.Fingers crossed I will get one of the car's I like soon.The guy's are great.(I thought they were)I guess 5 STARS won't be happening as I'm still waiting 1 month on for a test drive-not a telephone call-nothing about the Kia Line S or the Kia Stonic Quantum.Unsure why this has happened???Surely I'll have better luck in the North East.ZERO STARS from me WALKINGSHAWS...You only have yourselves to blame I've waited and been exceptionally patient.

Incredibly unhelpful, waited a good 10 mins in the showroom before anyone even showed up, and then the salesman was very slimy and arrogant, wouldn?t help me unless I could guarantee I would buy it from them, well unfortunately with that attitude I definitely won?t be buying anything from them, and won?t be back

First time buying a car from this garage, we travelled four hours to pick it and it was the best experience we have every had, the staff were so friendly and helpful and they went out of there way to make it a day to remember "thanks Paul".

Had to wait a while for my new car, which was the fault of VW not of Walkingshaw. But they have been there all the while providing updates where they were able and always willing to offer advise and a coffee and assistance. Could not have been happier with the handover when the car got here. Would recommend.

Even though 300 mile round trip just purchased a Tiguan from this dealership and it was worth the journey. The car itself was keenly priced and well presented. The staff were friendly knowledgeable and couldn?t do enough to help. There was no hard sell and the part exchange on my vehicle fair and accurate with no silly haggling.Dean came out with me on test drive and explained all the functions of the vehicle.Usually I hate the usual car buying dance but there was none of that which made the whole experience pleasurableWith special thanks to Dean what a star ??
