Sticky tables.
Waiter didn?t hear my order, I ordered small portions, he brought big one. Of course I left half on the plate, coz for me was a lot, but had to pay for whole. Sunday rost was not so good, potato not fresh cooked.

While visiting the town, we searched for somewhere that was dog friendly. Glad we found the Royal George, everything was excellent.

Food is on par with the countryman and the ship but there's an offer of 2 meals for £20 making it at least 40% cheaper than the majority of food spots locally
Service is a little slow but so is everywhere else these days but staff are polite and helpful
Legitimately dog friendly as in your dog is welcome inside the pub not just outside or selected seating
Nice music and a relaxing friendly atmosphere, this is a great little pub and should be packed

I ordered 2 pints of Coors cost 9.90 the glass was not clean after a sip I seen hard food on the logo of the outer glass will not be back off to somewhere new to try

Came here with my family and had a meal here from the 2 for £20 menu, the portion sizes were great, lovely homemade chips and the food was also lovely. Played pool whist waiting for the food but broke up the waiting time. The staff were very welcoming and were great with service.

Stopped here as an away fan on the way to the Workington Town match, and it was perfect. The food was good value, fresh and tasty. I had the Chicken salad from the special menu. Staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere very good. There was lots of seating. Toilets were clean. There was free parking at the back. We were in a coach which had a space in a lay by opposite across the road.

Food was microwaved, we visited Saturday 16th March 2024I had the George burger while I did enjoy my food I?ve since had food poising from this pub, I?ve been curled over for the 48 hours I would not recommend this pub at all, no wonder the council only gave them a one star rating before Christmas. Avoid at all costs
