Visited a few of these stores leigh blackpool and Workington...... iv found blackpool better for looking if youv got a discount and leigh more helpful offering to carry your shopping..... the girl at Workington found the dog food I was looking for but lady at till couldn't find my account.....so had to go and get my mobile out of car then it went through straight away..... I asked if there was any discount and she said No without looking on my phone app so about average visit

It sells pet stuff and so e exotics , staff can range from helpful to don't bother me .
Larger fish would be a bonus . All in all it does the job ,with plenty of parking

When buying a hamster.. do not listen to pets at home staff. They recommend small caged and wheels that are bad for a Syrians health. A cage needs to be a minimum of 100 by 50 and they need at least 8 to 10 depth to burrow into. The saucer wheels are bad for a syrian. They also should not be knawing on cardboard bridges or carrots. The sawdust they sell is unsafe also. My hamster got severely ill to the point of needing to be put down because she couldnt be helped after listening to their advice. If you want real advice on how to properly care for your hamster. Look for a page called 'Hamster Care UK plus' on Facebook. After joining that group I now know how to create an environment where a Syrian will thrive instead of getting ill.
Pets at home only care for money. Their staff are UNDER TRAINED AND DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT PET CARE!
Do not ignore this review. At least look into the page I suggested to find out everything you need to know before getting a hammy!

Overall has good products, but needs to sort out their opening times. This branch and the Carlisle branch both have incorrectly listed opening times on Google. This branch shuts at 8pm according to Google, but they shut at 6pm in reality. Similarly, the Carlisle branch shuts at 8pm according to Google, 7:30 according to the automated phone line, and 7:00 in reality.
Make sure to ignore the Google listing and go by what the website says.

Fabulous place for animal food for cats,dogs etc,we popped in to buy Guinea pig hutchs, the assistant Ashleigh was fantastic, told us there was money off,plus get a pets at home card and get extra 10%off,very friendly approachable staff, couldn't do enough to help us.Thanks guys you were brilliant.

i asked one of the staff members for assistance and he released a hoard of angry gerbils at me. I am now missing an ear, my pinky and an arm. very disappointed, didn't even get a discount.
