Beautiful location. The room we stayed in (room 6) was lovely and clean. However, the bathroom heating was not working and it was VERY cold in there. The worst thing was that we could hear every footstep of the occupants in the room above us. And unfortunately it was always when we were trying to rest.Not an ideal stay.

Lovely little hotel - rooms are cosy and decorated modernly, beds are really comfy. Great location for a great price too, with it being a 2 minute walk to the lake front and right in the middle of Windermere, with a short walk to restaurants, shops and tourist locations.

Great host and service. Location excellent but have to say was expecting so much more with the rooms. Absolutely tiny. Feels like you're in your bed as soon as you enter and the sound proofing is awful. No storage space really either for clothing. In terms of value for money you can get better imo.

Easy self check in. Fantastic location for Bowness. Carpark is handy as can go through back exit to the property. Room 8 very nicely decorated and comfy bed. A bit noisy late at night from pub behind. Will definitely stay again.

Stayed recently for a night as part of our honeymoon. The location is amazing as so close to central Bowness and the nearby public car park allows multi-night stays.The room was beautiful, nice decor, massive wetroom with lovely shower. King sized bed was comfortable and the radio being on when we checked in gave it a homely feel.Would happily return and stay longer

++ = Superb location. Clean. Room had everything you could require. Bowness is a quaint lakeside village. -- = Not cheap for size of room. Stairs no lift. Most rooms are upper floors. Almost EVERYTHING closes at 12.00am.

Just got back from a lovely stay at the White House in room 2. Loveliest bed I?ve ever slept in. Would Definately recommend. Very warm. Lovely shower. Great location. Couldn?t recommend more. Will Definately be returning

Where do we start, we have just returned from at night staying in the Den are trip has been perfect in every way. The den is absolutely stunning, everything is decorated to a high standard and the hot tub was everything. I loved when we checked in the hot tub was ready for us, the heating was on and there was a bottle of Prosecco waiting. The location is literally right in the heart of Ambleside walking distance to all the pubs shops and restaurants. We would recommend the Albert for drinks and the magic roundabout for breakfast (the best latte ever).We cannot wait to come back and cannot recommend enough.

Absolutely fabulous place! We stayed for two nights mid- September and booked a ground floor room. We had a small scare due to the weather and the team went above and beyond by putting us up in the honeymoon suite, at no extra cost. We were even able to use the hot tub and drink a bottle of Prosecco that they?d left out for us. Fabulous property and top location in the centre of Bowness. 100% recommended!

Good location. Room 7 small double room up 3 winding small flights stairs Room big enough for 1 person. All amenities. Location the best feature. They really must change disinfectant as formal smell gave me a headache. Bed comfy though.

We loved the White House. The place is decorated beautifully and every touch has been thought we through. We loved the bathroom and gigantic bed! The staff were really accommodating and helpful. We would definitely love to stay again. Thank you.

We stayed at the White House for my partners birthday at the beginning of August and loved it. The room was immaculate and cosy. The location was perfect, being close to everything that you could need. Just a small suggestion for the hosts - we noticed that there was no bubble bath. Otherwise a perfect stay and we will definitely be back!
